You have already heard about the Mediterranean diet, full of healthy benefits and links to normal fitness. But have you heard about the Atlantic Diet?

In a study published in Jama, fish, dried fruits, vegetables, beans and minimal processed foods are linked to a diet with a lower risk of metabolic syndrome, a term for many general health conditions that increase the risk of chronic disease.

Specifically, in 2014 and 2015, researchers recruited families, including more than 500 individual participants, to compare the growth rate of metabolic syndrome during a six -month follow -up. A secondary analysis of this study was conducted from 2021 to the end of 2023. Metabolic syndrome (3 % of people who did not have metabolic syndrome in the study) are less likely to develop among those who follow the Atlantic Diet, who are trapped with their usual lifestyle (7 %).

The Atlantic Diet is like a Mediterranean diet, which is far from new – it is based on the lifestyle of northern Portugal and northwestern Spain and locally available foods.

It is also a mirror of similar methods of Mediterranean diet and food, in which it prefers some important groups of food without emphasizing restrictions.

    What is metabolic syndrome?

Metabolic syndrome is a common term when someone has different health markers that increase the risk of increasing your chronic disease. Markers who make metabolic syndrome include high blood sugar, hypertension, unhealthy cholesterol levels and more.

When individual risk factors increase the risk of creating lasting or dangerous health conditions such as diabetes, stroke or heart disease.

Metabolic syndrome can also be called insulin resistance syndrome. According to the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, one of the three adults in the United States.

According to the results of this month’s study this month’s study, people who follow the diet have less likely to have a low level of waist and low levels of “good cholesterol”. Their hypertension, fasting insulin and triglyceride levels (blood fat) were not affected.

What are the foods in the Ocean Diet?

According to Jama Studi, Atlantic Food Centers:

    • Fruits and vegetables
    • Whole grain
    • Beer
    • Olive oil
    • Fish and seafood
    • Starch -based products (such as potatoes or rice)
    • Dried fruits and nuts, especially the oak
    • Dairy (milk and cheese)
    • Moderate amounts of meat and alcohol

The Fate of the Atlantic Food is found because the countries and cultures on which this model is created is sitting on the Atlantic in South Europe – northern Portugal and northwestern Spain, also known as Galasia.

But as Health Line reports, it contains special emphasis on local, seasonal food and family centers, so eating the style of the Atlantic can look slightly from one person to the front.

Mediterranean vs Mediterranean Diet: Finding a shared dominator in a healthy diet

If you are wondering how different from the Mediterranean diet, how are plants, healthy fat and lean proteins, it will be the right time. The Mediterranean and the Atlantic diet (or usually a sustainable, healthy diet) both emphasize nutrients, such as vegetables, olive oil, fish and beans, while red meat and heavy processed processed foods minimize. According to the Washington Post, some differences within the Atlantic Diet are that it can include more meat and more brussees, the type of vegetable black and cabbage.

But the importance of the Atlantic (or the Mediterranean for the Mediterranean) may be less connected to the water area or the body. If you wanted to combine through the archives of online nutritional tips for medical experts and nutritionists, you will know that for most people’s plates, their advice is almost the same: fill in colorful plants (fruits and vegetables), you have healthy fat, such as olive and fat.

Also in the details of these diets you will probably find the word “moderate”, such as limited but limited consumption, about things like red meat, alcohol or even sweet sweets that are not important every day. For example, in this list of food -food foods on the Mediterranean diet, you will see an abundance of delicious food that will fill your body and fuel your body with these nutrients, but it also includes some delicacy of life, such as a little chocolate.
