We thought “Wheel of Time” Season 3 is still the best season, and last month’s explosive final has made us more excited. Sadly, we will not get anything, because Amazon will not renew its hit fantasy drama in the fourth season.
The decision came after a “long consideration”, the deadline reported this week, as the executives of the Streamer enjoyed the programming offer. However, high fantasy can come with high production costs, and viewers reached the point with Season 3 that prime video Season 4 cannot justify.
Developed by Sony Pictures TV and Amazon MGM Studios, “The Wheel of Time” Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson’s very dearly fantastic book series is adapt to the series. We count it as one of the best prime video shows, so it is frustrated to see the ax.

Book, the first two seasons left for a rocky start, which gave rise to the reaction from the book fans thanks to the remarkable deviations from the source material. If we are talking about the audience, though, it was a certified hit, which became one of the first five series launches and its first five series launches of the most watched series of prime video in 2021.
Season 3 marked a high point that seemed to have finally succeeded at the fan base. It scored nearly 97 % of critics on Ruton tomatoes, the highest in the series, and was equally popular in the audience.
“I think it would be difficult to argue that this third chapter has not been bigger and better than ever, and that meant that the end felt huge,” my colleague Martin Shore wrote in the final review of his “The Wheel of Time” Season 3. “An end on a clip, providing more spectacle, more revelations and more terrifying performances.”
Now the prime video is the “Lord of the Rings” Pricyl, “Falling of Power”, the only remaining fantasy series in the streamer, which is in production. The prime video has formally renewed “Power of Power” for the third season, so imaginary fans will have to be at least waiting.
