- Dynson has announced the new ultra -thin, ultra -light penselwak
- Its new fluophones are designed to avoid the confusion of floor head hair
- It looks like an expert model for hard floors
I write about vacuum cleaners for living, and while the performance varies, most of these new models look almost the same.
So when the news of a new addition to the Dysian vacuum lineup came into my inbox, I expected that it would look like something like its current models: smart and high quality, but not particularly specific or surprising.
How wrong I was

The new scenario is not just an unusual name of the Pennsylvak, I have seen that this is the most unique gap. This brand knows what he is doing in this market – it creates some of the best indiscriminate gaps to buy you, and today’s excellent Desin vacuums include features that you will still not find anywhere else.
So when the Pennsylvak has made a long journey for vacuum cleaners and a long journey from the trial and trial formula, I am very hopeful about its performance. Here is a roundown of the most exciting features in this new launch …
1. It’s funny thin
The most prompt thing about a penalty is that it is incredibly smooth. Without the floor head, the whole thing is 1.5 inches / 3.8 cm in diameter. To make it possible, the brand had to produce a small new motor – the Desin Hypermium 140K motor is only 1.1 inches / 2.8 cm wide, and is completely invisible inside the handle.
Pennsylvak is also impressively lightly, rotating in 4lbs / 1.8kg. For context, now our best card lace vacuum roundup is the lightest of the lightest 5.7lbs / 2.6kg, and there are many models that weigh more than 6.6lbs / 3KG.

Generally, when you shrink a space, you sacrifice power. This is why handheld vacuums are far less ‘sucking’ than full size options. This is valid for a penalty-V8 (the oldest in the current range) compared to 115AW for 115AW, 55 AW suction and has a massive 280AW for the sophisticated and most powerful Gen5Detect. However, although it is unlikely to be really suitable for deep clean, it still has a reasonable amount of suction for size and weight.
As a side note, 1.5 inch / 3.8 cm in diameter is not accidental. “I wanted to create a gap for just 38 mm diameter (like my latest hair dryer, supersonic R),” says the brand’s founder James Desin. Dyson is a supersonic R pipe -shaped dryer that was actually released only for professionals, but recently joined the main customer’s limit.
2. Rollers have cones instead of
Move down to the end of the business, and you will find the new ‘Flophones’ floor head. It looks like a Pokémon, but it’s actually a re -developed cleaner tone. Traditionally vacuums have a brush roll, more than two, and they are tube -shaped. Dyson Pennsylvak has four britches, and they are all conical.
There is logic in the form of taping: it helps with the roll and in the dust cup, while the hair with parallel rollers just wrapped there, until you tear you or attack it with scissors. Dyson’s hair screw tool also has a conical brush roll, and works just as it comes to dealing with long hair.

The cone projects on the sides so that they can clean the edges of the rooms, and the whole thing can remain flat on the ground with a clearance of just 9.5 cm / 3.75 inch from the floor.
I am interested in the rollers’ description of the rollers as’ flavy ‘, as the brand storage that usually only indicates a soft roller to use on the hard floor. In fact, the more I see this gap, the more I believe it is just a specialist model that is only for use on the hard floor. I have not yet been explained in the press material, but it will have any meaning with less suction and small dust.
3. There is no visible dust cup
The most striking thing about a penalty is that it does not see a cup of dust. Of course, there is one – like a motor, it’s hidden inside the handle.
The capacity is nothing from the next: only 0.08l. However, Dyson has introduced a dust compression system, which uses air SO to suppress the particles so that they can lift the room as much as possible. Dyson claims that it can be five times higher than the physical volume.

The evacuation process has also been re -imagined, replacing an interesting sound “syringe, a new touch bin Education mechanism” instead of a push -liver system.
As it moves dust and debris, the mechanism wipes ‘shroud’ simultaneously. I am not fully clear what is ‘shroud’ in this context, but I know that keeping the internal mechanism clean is the key to effective vacuum performance, so it looks like a good thing.
4. The floor head shines and the floating is visible
When you clean, remove the hair, the floor head is another trick of the cone sleeve. The cones rotate in the opposite direction, the purpose is to clear the space just when it is pushed forward when it is pulled back. This is a weak place on the floor head regularly.
I am interested in seeing how this new approach works practically – especially because Dyson describes it as “floating” across the floor. I am also surprised, if it can cause this vacuum to completely change, looking at the fact that the handle section looks a lot.

Dyson has also added “laser -like” light to both the front and back of the floor head. This is another feature that is taken from the Axising Flowe Flour Head, and helps to make large shadows on the smallest pieces of dust, which can otherwise lose. It only works on hard floors, which is another indication that it’s not for an empty carpet.
There is an interesting addition to the toll lineup in the form of ‘rotating Combi-Collis Tool’, designed for cleaning in strange gaps. It seems that it is especially ready for high -up cleaning, where your angles can be difficult to correct. It has a special meaning for such ultra -light vacuum, which is easy to lift above your head than your average stick vacuum.
As side, it looks like a pencil button. It has been determined by a smooth form, but it is also a great good news for the ease of planning and use – the fact that many Dyson Wakes still use the trigger to activate it is a permanent bug beer of mine.
Long -hair dealing with furniture, you will also find a conical hair screw tool, which is included with the latest desin stick vacuums. Both can be stored in the magnetic charging dock.

6. It is connected to the app
I am very passionate about this feature, but it seems that I should tell me that this is the first Desin Coord Lace Vacuum to connect with the Medison app. The app will provide more information about battery life and also report on the filter status. However, there is also a screen on the vacuum itself showing the rest of the battery, so I am hoping that the app connection is optional rather than necessary.

Price and availability
With a scheduled launch in August 2025, Pennsylvak will first arrive in Australia. It is about to sell in the UK at some point in 2026, and I am waiting for information about whether/when it will come to the United States. So far I have no prices information – when I have them, I will update this article with more details.
