Amazon is examining a new artificial intelligence (AI) feature to make Amazon consumer purchase experience easier. Summary of the dubbed audio product, the AI -powered feature allows users to hear a brief light about the product. Seattle -based e -commerce Dev said two or more AI influx shopping experts discuss various aspects of this product in the audio clip to help users understand whether this is the right choice for them. Currently, Amazon is checking this feature on some selected products, and it is available for sub -sets of users in the United States.
In a newsroom post, Tech Dev described the new AI feature in detail. Audio product summary is short -form audio clips that are available on the product detail page. These audio clips include numerous AI influx buying experts that talk about product details, customer studies, as well as technical information about the product obtained from the web.
Amazon says these audio highlights will eliminate the need to go to the entire product detail page or search for a separate web to know about the product. Since the audio format is designed as a debate, the company believes the listening experience will also be “fun and easy”.
Behind the curtain, the feature takes advantage of the large language model (LLMS) to create the script for audio highlights. The script has been written by souring information from the web, product catalog, and customer studies. Subsequently, an AI text -to -speech (TTS) translates tool script into audio discussions. In particular, the company did not mention what AI model is being used for this feature.
People who can access the audio product summary feature can open the Amazon app and click on a product to enter the detail page. Under the product image, consumers will see a new button labeled “Listen to the highlights”, if the audio summary is available. Consumers can learn more about this product and buy a clip to build their minds to buy them.
