One Plus 13T was sold in China this week and will launch in India with One Plus 13. It brings us to the eternal question – do people really want a small phone?
Answer, if you ask One Plus, look “no”. Company representatives say 13 T/13 will not be sold in Europe, the United States and Canada.
This is disappointing because the 13T is the company’s first small phone – since OnePlus X, anyway. However, it was buried and forgotten, though. Will 13T follow the same fate? It seems that the company does not have much confidence in it, in view of recent news reports that there will be no global release.
We are not going to argue why One Plus has decided to restrict the 13T to just one two markets. But let’s take a look at how it is compared to other 6.3 “(or so) smartphones and then we will get into the polls. Note that since we do not yet have the price of India, we will use Chinese prices.

If you get a base 12/256GB model, One Plus is sold in 13 T CNY 3,400. The Samsung Galaxy S. 25 CNY 5,500 to form the same memory. It is powered by the same Snapdragon 8 Elite and it is slightly smaller (1.2 mm narrow, 1 mm thin and 23 grams light) – but the battery is very small in 4,000mah vs. 6,260mah.
OnePlus has a sharp wired charging (80W vs 25W) but has a wireless shortage. Also, while 50MP 1/1.56 “Main Camera is a match, telephoto has a high resolution sensor but a small lens-50 MP 2X vs. 10MP 3x.
Samsung Galaxy S 25 • Apple iPhone 16 Pro • Google Pixel 9 Pro
Apple iPhone 16 Pro 256GB for CNY 9,000. It is almost the same size but heavy (199g vs. 185g) and its 48MP man (large 1/1.28 “sensor), 12 MP5X parasop and a 48MP ultra wide. The battery is small but the iPhone is efficient, so it’s good.
Even if you choose the iPhone 16 (with two cameras but with extremely wide instead of telephoto), you are still seeing a high bill-CNY 7,000 for 256 GB model.

Pixel 9 Pro is not available in China, but it is in India. This OnePlus (199G vs. 185g) is heavier than it and has a better camera hardware. And the iPhone, but it is still significantly smaller than the One Plus, on 27W wired, but also has 21W wireless.
What do you think? Is OnePlus 13T the perfect phone for you – a small flagship on the budget – or One Plus has cut a lot of features?
