- The option to filming Samsung TV on a Galaxy phone is no longer available in the smartwave panel in quick settings.
- If you want to screen a mirror like this, now you have to do it through the Smart Things app.
- This new method features a better smartwave menu.
A UI 7 is slowly operating on all qualified Galaxy devices. In fact, it has recently received an update in the United States. Although Android 15 has a multiple improvement in skin, there is a change that emerges as a slightly down grade – smartwave. Updated the screen has made the screen mirroring feature more complicated than ever.
In a UI 6.1.1 or before, you can go into quick settings and access the smartwave panel to start screen mirroring. Here, you have two options for the screen mirror: from the Galaxy phone to the Samsung TV or vice versa. You can see an instance in the screenshots provided below Seamless.
Although both options are present in the smartwave panel in a UI 6.1.1 or earlier, one of them has been removed in an UI 7. If you have a device on an UI 7, you will still be able to use this route on your TV on your TV from your Galaxy phone. However, if you want to stream content on your phone from your TV, you will now need to use a different method. In addition, when you open the Smart Thing app, the option is now absent in the Three Dot Menu.
If you really want to make your TV screen a mirror on your phone, you will need to open the smart thumb app and select your TV. From there, tap the featured tabs and find smart view. Once you tap on the smartwave, you will be welcomed by a new and better menu that allows you to choose whether the screen is to be mirror or sound.
It is unclear why this mirror option was removed from the smartwave panel in quick settings. Overall, it looks like a change that makes the feature unnecessarily less easier.
