If there is a training plan, I almost can promise that I have tried it. I have run a marathon with Coros and Stride, I have trained for my first half marathon with Nike Run Club, and now I am looking for Garman’s better training as part of Connect Plus. But, for all my training plans and experiences, I have never tried something very customized like Ranna. So, when I found out that Strava was buying Ranna, he excited me for the future of his favorite social media platform – why.

    Wait, exactly what is run?

Well, if you are interested in fitness, a good chance that you will be familiar with Strava already. You probably understand the idea of dealing with their affairs after running your friends, and you have no stranger to join the monthly challenges to get discounts and digital badges. You will also be familiar with the platform training projects, which come as part of Strava subscription and can help you prepare distances from 5K to marathon. They are running through the Mac Millen’s race, and they make a little, if you cut and paste a little bit, if you cut and paste you in the racing.

On the other hand, Ranna is all the training at all times. It also offers 5K distance projects, but if you want, you can train the ultra -marathon (more than 26.2 miles from a standard marathon). In the upper part, Ranna plans are far more adaptive, which takes into account your weekly workout and automatically adjust your speed and distance to keep you up to your goal. You will also find recommendations for strength training and movement work.

Of course, I do not want to stop the work of the MacLon running team in bringing training projects to Strava. They are very good plans, and I will admit that they feel like a step above the Nike run club’s free guidance. However, when you have the option of a planned project that can last from six weeks to 26 weeks and cover up to 50K race, it is easy to see why Strava wanted to invest in Ranna.

Oh, so is it just going to be part of Strava?

With the news that Strava is buying Ranna, of course, that means that Ranna will only become part of the big platform, okay? Strava has more users than running, so it is understood to connect both groups together. Well, not at all. According to Mike Martin, CEO of Strava, the plan is to keep apps separate for the future while still investing in the running team and prepares the app. And in general, I will appreciate this news and maybe a little disappointed.

However, I can’t help but think that changes are on the horizon, in a way or some other way. I have no doubt that Strava’s executives saw Ranna’s flexibility and customization and wanted to fold it quickly. This platform has previously taken a similar step in acquiring Fatemap for its map -making technology in 2023, before it can be integrated into the map of the central Strava. Similarly, I expect Strava fully aware that the training projects that are adapting to their customers are more useful than a fixed routine that feels like fitness on rails. Sorry, Mac Milan staff.

It doesn’t matter what Strava says, we have already seen it buying and connecting other platforms.

In the upper part, letting Strava and Ranna be separated does not make much meaning to me financially. Right now, a strava subscription costs a cold $ 79 per year to access the deepest workouts and training projects. This price has risen permanently in recent years. If you want to add runs to the mix, you are looking for an additional $ 119 per year to access its training plans and private sharing platforms, which will lead to the two services to $ 198 each year.

This is a healthy part of the change when there is a slight overlap between the two – I think I would be quite happy with the free version of Strava that allows me to track down fairs and deal with Kido if I always rely on Ranna’s training recommendations instead. Nevertheless, I just allowed my Strava subscription breaks to make an effort other than connect, what is preventing me from making running and the only one?

Will you pay More More for Strava’s membership if it includes runna?

So, if Strava has a user base and Ranna has powerful training plans, why not integrate the two of them? I know, I know, executives said the platform will continue separately for this time – I get it. However, I am not sure I believe it. In fact, I don’t believe it because I think it will force many users to choose.

When you consider what is involved in this choice, it is difficult to see that Strava is coming to the forefront of my only payment fitness service. Right now, the free version of Strava is great for my needs. It still allows me to follow my friends, track my shoes and join the challenges, and I can get what I get deeper from the Garman Connect Plus from the Training Dashboard. In addition, I am in the middle of the Garman’s new Encycloper Marathon Plan in Connect Plus, and I am not before guaranteing a project before.

Strava will not pay me two services, but I can be cured by the collision of a PRICE price of better training tools.

On the other hand, running, forcing you to pay a paid project, which is much faster than Strava. You can launch any training plan for free with a seven-day trial-enough to taste you. After that, you have to start paying $ 20 or $ 119 per month, as is discussed above. If you are serious about the training of whatever race you choose, I have a feeling that you will finish the payment, but I don’t think you will pay the two.

At the end of the day, if many runners are like me, it will be forced to choose Strava – it can either take money from any of its two scripts or find the middle ground between the two. It can either completely separate the running and the strava or integrate the aspects of training into the social aspects of one to another. And, as a person who wants to try another new training plan, I will not have any objection to paying a little more for the solid benefit of this running project that is in line with my ability.
