At the moment, we know very little about the Galaxy A27, although we are sure to know some of its key specifications and hardware.
Design and size
Fantastic plastic!
While there’s no word on what the Galaxy A27’s design language might be, we have little doubt Samsung will use anything other than plastic for the build.
The Galaxy A26 used a plastic frame, so there is a high probability that the Galaxy A27 will use it as well. The rear will likely use Gorilla Glass Victos+, like on the Galaxy A26. Key Island is definitely making a comeback as well.
We actually weren’t quite happy with the design of the Galaxy A26, which still used an old teardrop notch, thick bottom, and old-school bullet-shaped camera cutout that went out of style a few years ago.
Size-wise, we can’t really see much of a way for Samsung to change things up here, so the Galaxy A27 will surely follow suit.

Point out the differences
The Galaxy A27 will definitely come with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display, with HDR support and a 120Hz refresh rate, which should be on par. Galaxy A37 and A57.
Peak brightness on the Galaxy A26 was a little over a thousand nits, which is fair for one Mid-range phonebut far below what flagships can achieve, and that’s quite normal, we expect something similar to the Galaxy A27, if not slightly better.

|---|---|
| size 6.7″ | size 6.7″ |
| shine > 1000 nits (peak) | shine 1000 nits (peak) |
Biometrics on the Galaxy A27 should be taken care of by a side-positioned capacitive fingerprint scanner, just like on the Galaxy A26. It’s a reliable approach, which we like better than optical fingerprint scanners.

In terms of storage, we expect 8GB of RAM and 128GB and 256GB storage variants on the Galaxy A27, just like the Galaxy A26.
We can get seven years of software support on the Galaxy A27, with an amazing intelligence suite baked right into a UI interface.
Camera
The return of macro cameras
Galaxy A37 It will definitely come with a triple camera, a 50MP main unit, an 8MP ultrawide, and possibly 2 or 5MP macro, which was the same setup used on the Galaxy A26. Let’s be real, the latter is a gimmick and is only included to make it appear that the device has the advanced amount of three cameras, even though the Macro One is unlikely to be used by the average user.
We hope the main sensor will be updated, as the Galaxy A26 had a narrow main camera with a very small sensor.

Battery life and charging
Similar batteries
We expect the Galaxy A27 to ship with a 5,000mAh battery, similar to the Galaxy A26, which also boasted a 5K battery in the trunk. This is now the standard approach for Samsung, which uses 5,000 mAh batteries on most devices, including all of its Galaxy S Ultra flagships released so far.
We expect the Galaxy A27 to deliver better battery life than the Galaxy A26, which didn’t really perform as well in our battery life tests.

25W wired charging may be the default option on the Galaxy A27. We hope 45W wired charging takes the trick down the line, but we wouldn’t have high hopes for that to happen.

Summary
We don’t really know much about the Galaxy A27, but given Samsung’s historical mid-range releases, it should be very different from the Galaxy A26.
Aside from the chipset, the rest of the hardware probably won’t be that different from the old phone, and the overall price won’t increase much. So, you probably won’t benefit much by upgrading, but let’s wait and see what Samsung has cooked up.
