Huawei refreshed this year with a new chip set, a new chip set, with 9020. The exact upgrades of 9000s within the 2024 Met Pad Pro 12.2 are unclear, but we know that both chips are ready on 7nm node. Here we will see what improvement in performance is offered by the new chip.

The Huawei Met Pad Pro 12.2 (2025) has the same battery and charging system as it has a 2024 predecessor with a capacity of 10,100 mA and 100W wired charging. Official numbers have been claimed that 85 % charge can be obtained in 40 minutes and that 100 % charge takes 55 minutes. We will put these numbers in the exam.

    Efficiency

We tested the Met Pad Pro in two ways, standard and performance. The latter offers more important promotion in CPU speed (about 12 %) and more important promotion in GPU performance (about 17 17 %).

Both cair chips have 1+3+4 configurations in the octal core CPU, with the top two clusters multiplied. However, the old 9000s run their big core at high clock speed, 1x 2.62GHz + 3x 2.15GHz + 4x 1.53GHz, 1x 2.4GHz + 3x 2.0GHz + 4x 1.6GHz for the new 9020 chip.

He said, with architectural improvement allows 2025 Met Pad Pro 12.2 to advance his 2024 predecessor in the single -core test. Consider equal results between standard and performance mode. When a multi -core task is encountered, the performances are kicking in the mode, but the 12 % increase was also not enough to catch the 2024 tablet. Overall, CPU is a mixed bag at 9020 and is compared to Snapdragon 888.

Husilican used a new GPU for this chip instead of 910 found in 9000. How are they two different? Huslen has been quite secret about his chips, so we don’t know.

However, there is a definite improvement – the standard format allows the 2025 tablet to meet the 2024 model and the performance mode gives it 15 % lead. He said, Huawei only has access to the middle distance performance-Careen 9020 Snapdragon defeats General 2, but 7+ General 3 has no match. It comes close to Snapdragon 888 since 2021.

The overall performance, which is measured by Antoto, is quite solid with a score of more than 1 million (though it needs to promote performance mode to clean this doorstep).

Huawei’s silicon efforts and SMIC semiconductor nodes are improving, but they still have a lot to do, especially if the company wants to meet modern offerings from Qualcomm, Meditik and other chip set makers.

    Battery life

Although he did not affect his performance, Kieran 9020 proved himself a very effective chip. Huawei has connected the modem to nails (no surprise here) and the call Times are very good (it will be more important for the phone with the chip instead of the matt pad, acknowledging).

The Mate Pad Pro 13.2 (2023) uses the 9000 S -chip set and has a battery of 10,100 mAh, exactly the same Met Pad Pro 12.2 (2025). However, the active use score has increased more than 3 hours with a great improvement in web browsing and video as well as a solid growth in gaming time.

Compared to chips on more advanced nodes (such as 4nm 7s general 2 inside the Poko Pad), the Mate Pad Pro is showing excellent results.

    Charging

Huawei starts late in a chamber design (not in terms of choice) and has to do a lot – in most performance, it looks like it has performance on the lock. But the company has been working on fast charging for years and shows it.

The 100W system is quite powerful and the Huawei Met Pad Pro 12.2 (2025) is basically the top in all the chart. Well, at a 15 -minute mark, the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro was 1 % higher, but it is 1,250mah with a low capacity to fill. In fact, Pad 7 Pro performed really well for the 67W charge system.

Nevertheless, the Mate Pad delivered a sub -1 -hour zero charging (he lost 55 minutes in just 2 minutes). We do not test 40 minutes, but the tablet was at 62 % at a half -hour mark – an excellent result.

    Conclusion

Huawei Met Pad Pro 12.2 (2025) is a premium tablet that starts at 50 850 for the base 12/256GB and if you want 12/512GB slate with the paper matt display (which decreases on the reflection) goes up to € 1,000/£ 900.

Although it does not have a premium tablet performance, it certainly offers a excellent battery life and sharp charge speed. And Huawei is making a lot of efforts to improve harmony – though international units are shiping with EMUI.
