This year, food colors are being kept under a microscope. Following the ban on US Food and Drug Administration on Red Die No. 3 in January, the administration has approved three natural food colors in its post. Now, in addition to the FDA and the Department of Health and Human Services, the Food Manufacturers ask the US Food Supply to launch all petroleum -based artificial colors, asking these companies to get rid of Red No. 3 before the 2027 deadline. To help this, the administration just approved the new color of blue food.
Since the fourth color extracted by natural sources approved by the FDA this year, Guardiania (Genopin) Blue is allowed to use in various foods. According to the administration, this blue color comes from the fruits of Guardiania, which is the flower forever. It can be used in hard and soft candy, sports drinks, drinking tea, flavored or better non -carbonated water, and fruit drinks and ads.
“This high -speed timeline identified our serious intention of transferring petroleum artificial colors away from food supply,” FDA Commissioner Marti McCary said in a news release. “Now, by expanding the palette of the colors available from natural sources, food manufacturers have different options that will make it easier to eliminate the use of petroleum -based colors.”
Gardenia (Jennipine) Blue Red -based golderia squeeze blue, butterfly pea flower flowers and white colors include calcium phosphate as the new and approved natural food colors of 2025.
Is Gardena (Genopin) blue allergies?
The FDA approved the use of Gardenia (Genepine) blue from a request from Gardenia Blue Interest Group. According to the FDA’s order, Gardenia (Genopin) blue is a deep purple or blue liquid made of adult fruits of rebellious jysmineoids Alice Plant with soy protein hydrolyzet.
Now, you are thinking: Isn’t soy allergies? According to the GBIG, soy protein allergies are not expected to detect it in the final color edito because during manufacturing, “non -curable protein hydrolysis is removed.”
Since no soy protein allergies will be in the ultimate product, GBIG Food is asking for allergen labeling. The FDA is currently reviewing the petition.
