Privacy -based search engine, Dick Dickgo, announced Thursday that it updated its browser scam blocker to protect you from more online dangers. The company said online that its scam blocker can now warn you about fake crypto exchange, scam e -commerce store fronts and a warning of fake viruses. The scam blocker can help protect you from fishing sites, malware and other common online scams.

According to a report by the Federal Trade Commission, people lost about $ 12.5 billion in 2024 – an increase of 2023 to 25 % – online shopping scams have been the second highest fraud. Dick Dickgo said online that the purpose of the scam blocker is to help you protect you from these scams while maintaining your privacy.
When using a scam blocker on your browser, you will still see links to popups and malicious sites. But according to Dick Dickgo, if you click on these links, the scam blocker will not load them. The company writes online that the scam blocker will show you a warning message so that the page can safely visit.
Dick Dacgo designed a scam blocker at home, and the company said that the feature used the malicious site URL feed from the Independent CyberScript Company Net Craft.
According to Dick Dacgo, the scam blocker does not disclose your identity by storing the Net Craft site on the Dick Dickgo servers. Then, the company says it moves your browser to the list every 20 minutes to keep your list as the latest as much as possible. The list is then stored locally on your device.
“Scam blocker uses local storage to minimize the number of communication with our servers,” Dick Docco told CNET. “This, with an anonymous hashning solution that blurred sites on your visit, means that your browsing remains anonymous. And when you load the dataset for the first time, low network applications make it faster.”
Scam blockers are available on free and Dick Dickgo’s mobile and desktop browsers. According to the company, it continues as a default, so you do not have to find it via the menu to enable it.
