On this year WWD BLD 2025, Apple introduces a very drastic change in its name conventions. What should be the coming Watchos Each OS now has a new, over -Hold display aesthetic called liquid glass, which makes some apps, icons, buttons and popups, such as palass glass and other features look like rain.
In addition, most of its product lineup expected Apple Intelligence features were small and measured, rather than giving large and sweeping – but for Apple Watch fans, the fact is that Apple intelligence on your wrist can be enough. Here, we go through some new points and tricks that you will start to see on your Apple Watch this year.
Does your Apple Watch are compatible?
The Wachos 26 Series will be available for Apple watches starting 6 or so. These include the second general Apple Watch SE and all the Apple Watch Ultra models. You must have an iPhone 11 or after which can run the next iOS 26. If you want Apple Intelligence features, you also need to have an Apple intelligence -driven iPhone, which includes iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and all iPhone 16 models.
When will the Wachos 26 be available?
You can download Wachos 26 as developer beta today, but don’t expect it to be perfect. Next month, a public beta will start at Beta.com Apple.com and Wachos 26 will be available as a free software update for compatible watch models this fall.
Top Watchos 26 Features
Liquid glass

Unfortunately, most liquid glass design has been improved for the major screens of Mac, iPhone and iPad. But hey, look, the digits on the clock face are now a propaganda cool! When you look closely, you can also see minor highlights around the edges of the buttons. Smart Stack – Apple’s layered widget system will also be made of Mixe liquid glass, so that the screen does not clear.
Exercise friend
Exercise Buddy uses all exercise data collected through heart rate, speed, distance, etc. and used to offer it personal, stimulating (“you crushed!”) During his workout session. Apple Intelligence analyzes your data to provide these insights and use sound stimulation derived from fitness+ trainers. It can also mark key moments, such as running a mile, especially. It is currently available for only a few exercises, such as indoor and outdoor walking or running, outdoor cycling, functional and traditional strength training, and HIIT – and yes, if you have the idea of a chair leader in your ear, you can close it.
The exercise app itself has also designed a, which contains four buttons in four corners of the clock to make it easier to tap on each feature. The user can set up music and podcasts inside the exercise app, and Apple can either choose music or provide tips for the appropriate playlist.
Smart stack

Smart stack will now add more context data to provide more helpful indicators, such as location and user routine. For example, if you arrive at your normal time, your Apple Watch can mark your location and slide the exercise routine on the upper part of your smart stack.
Messages and notifications
Courtesy Apple
If you own the watch series 9, the watch series 10, or the Apple Watch Ultra 2, you will now be able to use a new gesture of wrist Flick (such as a double tap) to return to the face of the notifications or incoming calls, silence, and the clock. A machine learning model uses anxlerometer and giroscope data to catch the user’s wrist movement.
The clock now also supports direct translation into messages (once again, you will need an Apple intelligence -driven iPhone). If your language is set on English, the clock will now offer indicators in messages, such as suggesting Apple Cash if donated to the user. Call screening and the phone will also come to the phone app on the Hold Assist Watch, which will allow users to decide whether to take or reject calls, or ask for more information.
As always, you have new watch faces to choose for. And you will Finally Be able to use the notice app on the watch, which may be more important for some of us than others.
