    • Nord VPN research shows 94 billion stolen cookies on the Dark Web
    • Only a small percent of them is still active
    • These cookies represent a serious threat to consumers

Nord VPN’s new research has revealed cookies, sent to small information files and web browsers from web servers, leaked and exploited on the Dark Web.

These results are calculated that around 9494 billion cookies are circulated, of which about 42 42 billion start from the Red Line, which starts with an infamous infoastler malware – though only 6.2 % of them were still active, that is, their relatively short age.

In fact, mostly were inactive, only 7.2 % of the 10.5 billion cookies were identified as the Cookies, which were identified by the Weather, as well as 6.5 % of Lummac2 – a new infoastiler service – which collects a total of 8.8 billion stolen cookies. Yet there is an outlet, the crypt boot has proved to be the most effective malware so far that 83.4 % of the stolen 1.4 billion cookies are still active.

There are different types of different information in these cookies of dataset, including ordinary key words “ID” (18 billion), as well as “session” (1.2 billion), “Auth” (292 million), and “Login” (61 million) – it is particularly disturbing, because it shows that they are used without a password. Researchers warned.

“Cookies may look sweet, but sometimes they can leave the bad taste. The fact is that even the most seemingly unimportant cookies can do a lot of damage to you or your business. Once a door is opened, it is not difficult to open others. The sessions are fully active.
