Apple’s growing comprehensive self -service repair program now includes iPad. From yesterday, owners of different models of Apple’s slate can easily get official parts, repair customs and tools that allow them to try their repair, should they feel quite confident.
Apple diagnosis is also available for defects detection sessions. This web -based tool, which is launched in the United States in 2023, is able to test directly for numerous common issues that affect display, software, audio, camera tech and fee ID, and offer step -by -step repair process for diagnostic problem. Earlier, this diagnostic test can only be done by Apple’s authorized service providers.
For now, the collaborated iPad model is iPad Air (M2 and later), iPad Pro (M4), iPad Money (A17 Pro) and Entry Level iPad (A16). Apple says it will offer components, including display, batteries, cameras and exterior charging ports that will be used to repair products outside the warranty.
The self -service repair program began in 2022 and Apple is slowly reinforcing the range of product lines. A large number of iPhone and Mac models are already offered by service, so the iPad was the next step.
In addition to the Apple -led self -service repair store, Apple recently launched its real parts distributor program, which allows businesses and professionals to order through third -party distributors such as mobile interks without current service relationships with Apple.
