The past couple of weeks saw a slew of new smartphone launches across the ocean, but the US market has been fairly quiet. That doesn’t mean there aren’t any discounts this week, of course.
That’s probably not a good sign — the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is under $700 for the 256GB unit and the upgrade to 512GB is just $40. Never mind the S25+ (which is out of stock on Amazon, anyway), the S25 Edge is now cheaper than the vanilla Galaxy S25! Unless you settle for a 128GB S25, which you probably shouldn’t.
Despite their different sizes. Unfortunately, their batteries are also similar, 3,900mah/4,000mah. On the plus side, the Edge gets you a 200MP main camera, previously reserved for the Ultra.

Speaking of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, its price has remained fairly stable at around $1,000 — if you can live with 256GB of storage, 512GB if you need it. Here’s how the S25 Ultra and S25 Edge compare.
While the vanilla S25 has its petite size as an advantage, the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE is taller and wider than the 25 Edge – thicker (7.4mm vs 5.8mm) and heavier (190g vs 163g), of course. So, the per price will probably drop even lower since the 256GB models are only $40 apart. The FE is a solid mid-ranger, but its 1080p+ display and year-old Akinos 2400 chipset don’t compare well to the 1440p+ display and Snapdragon 8 Premium Edge K Elite.
The OnePlus 15 launched in China and is definitely headed for a global release, but when it might be available in the US is anyone’s guess. Meanwhile, the OnePlus 13 is coming up last with a solid discount, especially on the 512GB unit.
There’s no 15R yet, not officially, anyway (OnePlus unveiled the Ace 6). So, the OnePlus 13R costs $533 for the 256GB unit which seems like a better deal than the S25 Fe. It also uses a year-old chipset, but it’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. And the 6.78″ display has 1264p+ resolution (both are LTPO). The phone wins on camera resolution (50MP vs 8MP), shorter length (2x/47mm vs 3x/75mm). 4,900mah) and fast wired charging (80W vs 45W), even if you opt for wireless charging (Fe 15W) are lost.
Apple recently unveiled new iPad Pros with the latest M5 chipset — they became available last week and are already sporting a $50 discount. That’s not a lot, but it’s more than Apple’s new products usually get.
The Apple MacBook Pro 2025 14.2” laptop also brings M5 power and a $50 discount.
If you want an Android tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Pro and Tab S10 Pro+ come in 10.9″ and 13.1″ sizes with 90Hz IPS LCDs. Now, these are per tablets so they have the mid-range power that the Aquinos 1580 has. Still, those decks are fast enough for multitasking.
We’re currently reviewing the CMF Headphone Pro and initial impressions are pretty good. These cheap over-ear headphones have solid build quality, good sound and decent noise cancellation. As they are, normally $100, they are even cheaper with a $16 discount.
You can take a look at the Nothing Headphones (1) – they cost $300 (no discounts at the moment), so there’s a wide gap between them and the CMF. They’re certainly stylish, even if their style isn’t for everyone, and are quite affordable. Still, at more than 3x the price, they’re a tough sell over the CMF Headphone Pro.
