What do you think about the dynamic island of the iPhone? It seems that Apple’s tablet -shaped cut -out is rather controversial, but I’m here to throw my hat firmly in the side of the team Island. Because unlike my fellow Lance Alanov, I love the dynamic island.

As I recently wrote, I have not been fully convinced of the Apple Action button in six months that I have made my iPhone 16 Pro. But the dynamic island is a feature that I can’t really help, but I appreciate both its functionality and its aesthetics.

Still start browsing social media and you will quickly realize that since reaching the iPhone 14 Pro, he has received a lot of negative feedback. Even those opinions that are not negative look close to apathy.

Perhaps a part of it is driven by reviewers and fans who receive new iPhones every year. For them, novelty is probably over. But for anyone like me who stepped from the iPhone 12 Pro to the iPhone 16 Pro, the dynamic island has been excellent.

    What’s the big deal?

Finally, my definition for the dynamic island comes to some factors.

One thing IT, it allows me to be timer and fadal with the podcast playback without opening the apps itself. Earlier, I was moving forward between apps when I just needed to make minor adjustments. It became increasingly old, but with a dynamic island, there are very little break in my workflow.

At the same time, it handles air drop requests without the need to open another window. It gives additional control, such as adjusting my iPhone flashlight and adjusting the beam dimensions. There are even third -party developers’ mini games, such as Apollo’s creator Pixel Pauls (before one of my favorite iOS apps is closed).

Also include the fact that the dynamic island is beautifully dynamic with smooth transitions and effects that only look very good. This means that when I have to use it, I enjoy it.

All this is much better than the ugly mark on my old iPhone 12 Pro. It was purely FROM active and was only there to hide the front -facing cameras and facial identification sensor array. The dynamic island still works, but it actually makes your iPhone cutout useful. Instead of snatching your phone, it increases.

Apple didn’t just throw his hands and admit that it couldn’t hide these cameras and sensors – the company considered a really beautiful solution, and I’m really happy that he did so.

This does not mean that the dynamic island is a flawless masterpiece.

The biggest thing is that it can make things unclear on your screen, including both movies and games. This is clearly far from Ideal, and since Apple has not yet been able to hide the front camera and sensor under the display, there is no way around it.

And what will happen if you have more than one item in the dynamic island? In this case, items can shrink – or not at all. Apple’s cutout can keep two apps (one big and one small) at a time, and when you can swipe to increase or minimize its contents, you may have nothing more. Nothing has been shown.

Although I can understand these frustrations, they are not enough to remove me from the dynamic island. One thing I do, I often do not see movies on my phone, so the barrier is not particularly prominent.

For another, I know that a dynamic island is now necessary. Under the Apple display, the fee ID sensor has not been able to hide things like array – while it will be speculated that this feature is not yet ready for prime time.

Certainly, some of the best Android phones have small cutouts, but their facial recognition tech is either Apple’s inferior or absolutely missing. I have a facial identification and dynamic island instead of facial identification and a less secure device.

In the future, it seems that Apple is going to eliminate the dynamic island to provide a smooth, low barrier display. I’m sure it will look amazing, and running on what Android manufacturers have at least managed so far.

When that happens, it is interesting to see what is about the functioning of the dynamic island. I am sure Apple will think something interesting, just as it did with the dynamic island itself.

Perhaps Tim Cook and Friends will give us a device that works mostly as an all -screen phone, but it includes dynamic pills like an island to store the features of an active app like Timer.

But as long as the dynamic island remains on my iPhone, I am very happy. This is a half -way measurement, of course, but still an active and beautiful.
