    • Volvo’s cars will be included in the first vehicles to integrate Gemini.
    • Gemini will replace the assistant in these cars later this year.
    • Google Car maker will use its lead development partner for new Android automotive properties and updates.

We know for a while that Google is preparing to replace Google Assistant in Android Auto and Android Automotive. The company made it official during Google I/O yesterday, where it announced that AI would come into several products, including cars. If you have an Android automotive car, you may be wondering what cars will be the first cars to get a chat boot. Now we know the answer.

Volvo announced in a press release today that it had extended its partnership with Google. With this partnership, Google Built -in will be included in the first cars to benefit from Volvo Vehicles software. Since it is replacing the assistant, the owners will soon be able to have a natural conversation with the AI about anything from the user’s manual to the details about their destination.

There is no right date for when the switch will be. However, Volvo says the gym integration will come to its cars later this year.

This is not the only news that the car maker was to share. This extended partnership with Tech Dev also comes with the benefit of becoming a reference hardware for Android Automotive Development. Volvo says it will now be a lead development partner, which means Google will use its vehicles to produce new features and updates before they join the main Android Code Base.

As a result, it seems that Volvo owners will now be among the first people who enjoy the new Android features and performance increases. At the end of this, Volvo will also be able to accelerate its progress in the attached car space.
