The Ride Heeling Platform Uber announced the rollout of Metro Ticketing on the Ober app, operated by the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), starting at the Delhi Metro on Monday.
Ober said that three more cities across India have to go directly in 2025, adding that it will launch B2B logistics soon through the ONDC network, which is a solution that will allow businesses to request logistics from Uber’s delivery network, without the need for their fleet.

“Uber today announced the rollout of metro ticketing on the Uber app, which is powered by the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), in which Delhi Metro is operating directly as a Launch City. It has made India’s main digital public infrastructure and a major step forward.

The move pursued the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed by Uber’s CEO Dara Khosroshhi in 2024, where Uber pledged to cooperate with the ORDC to advance the use and impact of India’s digital public goods.

He said, “Today is a solid feeling of commitment, which strengthens Uber’s mission to make urban movements more comprehensive, sustainable and without interruption.”

“India has made an impressive jump in the construction of population -scale technology through its digital public infrastructure like the ONDC,” said Ober, Parveen Napley Naga, Chief Technology Officer, Ober, Parveen Napley Naga, and we are happy to bring them to the metro ticketing with them, which has been a step forward for a move to move with them. ONDC acting CEO and COO Vibhore Jain called on OBR to join the ORDC network, as an important step in expanding access to reliable, inter -abolished digital infrastructure in India.

“As a global platform, the early ability of metro ticketing and logistics Uber has opened up new possibilities – from smooth multi -moodle trips to uniting a scattered logistics ecosystem. This collaboration with the network is the basis of future innovations, consumers, and consumers.

From today, Uber users in the national capital will be able to plan their metro travel, buy QR -based tickets, and access real -time transit information within the Ober app.
