Huawei recently unveiled a wide lineup of new products, including the Mate 80 series, the Mate X7 foldable, and the Mate Pad Edge tablet. Along with these launches, the company also introduced its latest TWS earbuds, the Freebuds Pro 5.
Huawei FreeBuds Pro 5 is a pair of premium TWS earbuds that come with ANC and wireless audio quality. They are equipped with a new custom Kirin A3 chip and dual drivers.
Each earbud features an ultra-linear dual-magnetic bass driver paired with a micro-planar tweeter. Thanks to the Close Link E2.0 technology and custom Kirin A3 chipset, the earphones support flexible audio streaming up to 4.6MBPS.
Freebuds Pro 5 is compatible with several audio codecs, including AAC, SBC, LDAC, and L2HC. They sport an in-ear, stem-style design and come with silicone ear tips. Meanwhile, the charging case has a bullet-shaped design.

In terms of connectivity, the earbuds support Bluetooth 6.0 and multi-device connection. The charging case is rated IP54, while the earphones offer an IP57 rating.
As for battery life, Huawei claims the FreeBuds Pro 5 can offer up to 8 hours of use on a single charge with ANC disabled, or up to 33 hours with the case. With ANC on, the buds are said to last between 5 hours and 22 hours with the case.
The Huawei FreeBuds Pro 5 earbuds are available in Earth Gold, Frost Silver, Snow White, and Sky Blue colors, with the latter offering a vegan leather finish.
The earbuds are available for purchase through Huawei’s official China website and are priced at CNY 1,449 (205).
