The Samsung Galaxy S26 series of smartphones, expected to be official in January 2026, will feature displays that won’t be any brighter than their predecessors.
This word comes from a trusted tipster Universewhich said the Galaxy S26 series has a peak brightness of 2,600 nits — the same as the Galaxy S25 lineup. If true, this is not a cool move by Samsung as we have some Chinese flagships in the market that are much brighter.
Today we are not talking about the cameras, let’s talk about the display. From what I’ve learned exclusively, the Galaxy S26 series still tops out at 2600 nits of peak brightness, including the S26 Ultra. This is not a good sign. As for the display material, the tipster said he’s “basically certain” the Samsung M14 will adopt material, but it’s unclear whether the display will support 10-bit color and PWM high-frequency dimming.
As for Samsung Lex, I basically believe that it will adopt M14 material and polar screen technology, but I can’t guarantee that it will adopt 10-bit technology and PWM high-frequency dimming. I advise you not to be too optimistic. https://t.co/wicbrzvunb

The Galaxy S26 lineup is rumored to include the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. The Ultra model will get a wired charging boost, ranging from 45W to 60W, while wireless charging will be 25W. It’s 10W faster than the S25 Ultra.

The Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ are also rumored to have faster wireless charging – up from 15W to 20W. It’s not a huge leap, so it remains to be seen how much of a difference it will make in real-world use.
