    Editor’s Notes

SiteBuilder has now been absorbed by the Network Solutions website builder platform. You can read our full Network Solutions Website Builder review to learn more about what the platform has to offer.

Site Builder is a website builder that makes it easy to create a site quickly. A huge bonus to Site Builder are the affordable plans. You can purchase the Pro plan for up to $4.00 per month when you sign up for two years. If you’re new to building your own website, getting started using Site Builder isn’t difficult.

You can easily browse the website without being overloaded with tons of features and confusing technical language. Everything is kept simple and easy to see. However, the downside is that the website has limited information and not so much detail. But if you’re looking for a web builder that’s easy to get started with (and less expensive), SiteBuilder has more affordable options.

Here’s a snapshot of plans and pricing (Image credit: Site Builder)

    Plans and pricing

There is a site builder Three main projects There is no free version listed on the website which is difficult especially if you want to test the web builder before buying it. However, there is a great support system available for you to ask your questions. Here’s a quick summary of plans and pricing:

Pro plan It costs $4.00 per month when you sign up for a two-year plan. It comes with a mobile optimization feature, web hosting, your own domain name, and website statistics. This plan is the most popular and is good for anyone new to building a website.

Premium plan As long as you opt for the two-year plan, it costs $4.80 per month. This includes web hosting, custom templates, .00 100.00 in advertising credits, and priority support to help with your questions. This plan is very close in price to the previous plan.

E-commerce plan Costs $7.20 per month (with a two-year plan). You will have access to all the features of the premium plan (such as a domain name, web hosting, and advertising credits) and you will also be able to create an online store to sell your products.

    Interface

Accessing plans and browsing the website is easy (Image credit: Site Builder)

    Interface

The interface is clean and the website is well organized. For example, it’s easy to compare different website builder plans or contact customer support. Site Builder offers live chat, so we tried it out. It worked really well, an agent responded to us within four minutes and gave us useful answers to our product questions. If that’s still not enough, phone support is available. Live chat and phone support is available, and being reachable was very helpful.

    Features

Marketing tools and an editor are key features (Image credit: Site Builder)

    Features

Site Builder’s editor offers a surprising number of customizable site elements. For example, click in a text box, and you can’t just edit, style, or align the text. You can change the color of the box, change its border width and radius, add drop shadow or glow effects, make low-level font changes to letter and line spacing, or even apply text animation effects (blur, flip, bounce, shake, fly-ins, and more).

That’s not all. Site Builder pages are built from sections, and if you click in the space around a header (or an image, or a gallery, or any other section element) you’ll find many customization options. Some settings replicate what you can do with an element, but at the section level. Adding behaviors allows objects to control other functions, perhaps playing or pausing a video, submitting a form, or navigating around the site. And interesting site-level options include the ability to show a section on all web pages with a click.

There’s a lot of power here, but it comes at the cost of some on-screen clutter. Simply hovering your mouse over a section is enough for the editor to display a section-level toolbar, and left-clicking displays the full section toolbar.

There’s also a powerful integrated photo editor, with more functionality than some standalone apps. It can crop, rotate or resize your photos, adjust brightness and contrast, tweak colors and tones, fix red-eye and white teeth, add captions, frames, overlays and stickers. It also has the ability to tweak sharpness or apply focus effects, and allows you to draw freehand on an image, create a vignette, paint a custom color splash effect, and more.

    Competition

    Competition

There are many web builders out there (Wixfor , for , for , . Square spaceand WordPress to name a few). So what’s so unique about Site Builder? The editor stands alongside the customer support center. You can easily view lists of questions or search about. Also, once you’ve created a blog, it appears as a new page in the Site Builder editor, and can be customized like any other. If you don’t like the default image backgrounds, you can change them to something simpler, and you can add new text to tell readers about yourself and what the blog is about.

    Final thoughts

Site Builder’s wide selection of templates and versatile editor are capable of building some quality sites. Prices are also a good range of what is included in each plan. There aren’t many media features, but Site Builder is easy to use for beginners, especially if you want to build a website quickly.
