Yesterday, Apple unveiled iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and iPhone Air. All of these come with many new features and spears, but during the presentation, an exciting setting was not talked – though it probably should have been.

We’re talking about the use of a plus width modification (PWM) to dim the screen, which basically means that the screen has been turned off quickly and again. Instead of understanding, some sensitive people’s eyes cause pressure, headaches and other symptoms, especially when it is happening at a low rate. Apple now has a solution.

The company has so far been one of the worst criminals on the front, with an incredibly low PWM level. It’s not changed, but now you can only completely close the PWM. You just go to the access settings and find a labeled display plus smooth. The detail of this feature is:

The OLED displays disable the pulse width model to provide a different method to dimming the display, which can form a smooth display output on the lower brightness level. Dispunction of PWM can affect the performance of the low brightness under some conditions.

This will definitely be a God’s place for those sensitive to low PWM rates, and this is not better than anything. To Android, most companies that are not Samsung and Google have tried to reduce the problem by offering highly high PWM rates, which seems to not affect most people.

And now we have been wondering why we can’t have these two in the same device – PWM has a high rate, but also make it so that the user can shut it completely if it is causing problems. Maybe in the future, hopefully.
