MSI Kilo A8 Z2 is another gaming PC handheld to target the Extra Market. Taking all positives of the previous repetition of MSI claws, MSI Kilo A8 Z2 seems to promise on exterime paper, which is the first gaming handheld to pack the AMD Raisin Z2 extreme chip, possibly provides the game with a new level of palm in the palm of its hands.
In terms of availability, the MSI Kilo A8 Z2 Extra has been released slowly in the past few months as different regions begin to stock the device. The UK is still looking forward to its opportunities along with the United States, and the new Asos Rogue Xbox Eli has soon hit the shelf, which can be the final line race in terms of the first device featured AMD’s new chip to stay on the shelf.
However, the use of the device in 2025 proved to be a slight experience, and it was not a handheld fault but a processor itself. Although the device looked sharp and comfortable to use it, it did not promote the performance that I expected from the latest chip of AMD, and instead felt practically similar to the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extra.
Not only are my expectations from the device, but I am usually worried about the development of handhelds if this level performance is seen as an upgrade. Oh dear
MSI claws A8 Z2 Extreme Hand on: Price and Availability
The high cost of MSI Panj A8 Z2 varies from the region from the region and is not yet available in the US or the UK, we do not have a certified price.
However, sales start from $ 999 in Germany, so we can assume that it will be at a similar price in both dollars and pounds, though the exchange rate, local tax and taxes will have an impact.
The market is especially expensive than alternative handheld gaming devices. However, currently this is the only gaming handheld feature that features the new AMD Ryzen Z2 Extertium chip, which makes it difficult to compare directly. The previous MSI was about £ 899 /99 899 at the time of release, and other alternatives like Asus Rog Elx come in about £ 799 / $ 799 with frequent sales and prices.
Right now, for most parts of the world, there is no certified date of release for the MSI Kilo A8 Z2 Extra, but in some parts of Europe it is on shelves, we should not wait too much.

MSI claws A8 Z2 Extreme Hand on: Design
In terms of design, MSI claws A8 Z2 Extra comes in a fancy New Colorway, Neon Green.
Being honest, I found this new color absolutely unpleasant, but it is a problem of personal taste rather than being a big problem. Despite not being a fan, I can become a bigger person and admit that this new color certainly separates the device from the gaming handheld monochrome sea that is still on the market.
You get an 8 -inch screen, which is slightly higher in the solution to your standard 1080p at 1920×1200. Complete it with a variable 120Hz refresh rate, and this screen is one of the best options in the gaming handheld market.
The only thing that improves this display will be if it is OLED. It was very beautiful to see and would create a great option for both comfortable and competitive gamers – if competitive gamers never dared to be classified on the gaming handheld.

The chassis certainly feels more ‘gamery’ in this manner when compared to its predecessor, with more aggressive shape and clear cut edges that we are aware of. Nevertheless, it was still comfortable.
Is coming to 765G, it is one of the heavy equipment in the market. For example, the asus ROG ally X weighs less than 700 grams. It can be expected in view of the difference in the screens, but it does not refrain from the fact that the handheld feels that when you are playing it, your weight is slightly down, but it has not created any major problem.
MSI claws A8 Z2 Extreme Hand on: Springs
In terms of explanations, MSI claws A8 Z2 looks terrific on the extreme paper, however AMD Ryzen Z2 Extertium largely leaves it down. Using the device, I noticed that when I was not really doing any better performance than the Z1 Extertium chip found in other (cheap) gaming handhelds.
It arranged good quality graphics in sports played on handheld, which contains solid frame rates that do not appear or feel sticky. However, since it was just a short hand on session I was unable to monitor the frame rates during the game, and did not really feel that the device was increasing the level of performance at the surface.

In addition, you also get 24GB of RAM, which is one of the major upgrades of the previous generation gaming hands hand. In the previous handhelds, Lower Ram has created problems in the past, so it is a pleasure to see that MSI learns from the mistakes of his rivals.
You also get a chunky 80Wh battery, which is like the previous repetition of MSI claws. Although it was good for it to be better, it seems that it is slowly becoming the standard of the industry.
I was unable to actually monitor the battery level with my hand with the device, but the AMD Ryzen Z2 series of chips comes with a better performance promise so we have to wait for a thorough review to see if it is true.
MSI claws A8 Z2 Extreme Hand on: Preliminary Decision
All of them, I think I was at some point with MSI claws A8 Z2, but it was not on the device itself but a processor from AMD.
Holding the device was comfortable, looking amazing (besides the new Nine Green Colorway, sorry) and it has a battery’s potential.
However, with a high -cost point and a processor that was not promoting the performance that I was expecting more than his predecessor, it is difficult to recommend selecting MSI Panj A8 Z2 Exterthiz on the basis of the first impression. Our complete overview, where we will keep MSI claws A8 Z2 to a great extent through our benchmarks and real -world tests, to determine whether it deserves a place between the best gaming handhelds.
