It’s 6 years ago when Apple decided to join the “really premium” airphone with Air Pods Pro. With a latest, ear version of the well -known Air Pods, now active noise cancellation, transparency pass throw, and pinch control over the trunks. Since then, Air Pods Pro has once been upgraded to a general 2, which improves the sound. We’re expecting a potential third generation – maybe this year, probably next, but for the moment – they are Air Pods Pro.
Sony started its premium inline line a while ago -the first WF -1000 X -2017 was launched. Since then, it has been updated once every two years, in which 2019 we have XM3, then XM4 in 2021, and XM5 in 2023. Sony Airbuds.
Now it has been cleaned, it is time to measure them – these are very different types of airbodes. Which … “better”? Sound, fit, relief? Let’s dive!

Sony is fully utilizing the Bluetooth 5.3 protocol and its Bluetooth lei capabilities by adding a new ish LC3 Kodak for clear sound calls. His buds last longer on the same charge, but in this case there is a little less juice itself. Apple’s Air Pods Pro is set up for Audio and SBC for calls for AAC – Old Kodak that looks like a hug and nasty while calling (although the H1 chip does something to clean it a little). As about the protection of injury – Sony’s buds are protected from sweating and occasionally spraying. Air Pods Pro and their case have a bit more protection-IP54 stands for 5 “protected from dust” (not tight with dust).
Sony WF-1000xm5 vs Air Pods Pro Design and color

This design takes two very different perspectives. Sony WF-1000xm5 is literally … buds-no trunks, nothing is coming out. They also come up with memory foam tips instead of silicone tips that are mostly used by others.
Its, their fit and feeling cannot be better for many users. You need to squash well before you put a foam of memory, and a budding tip that is a bit bigger for your ears, it can end out in the airbod. Thankfully, the package now contains a total of 4 sizes to put a wider net in Sony. You can also replace the tips with a third -party silicone, however, the foam points on your mine canals are part of the design. When they try to try with silicone tips that I use on other airbods otherwise, the right Sony WF-1000xm5 permanently exited the position.
The Air Pods Pro General 2 has a slightly more universal design and it seems that more users are reporting that they put in their ears. They come with three -sized points and can be difficult to fit the third party option because they have their own growing clip – just being Apple.

The second design is quirky, which is certainly not the maximum in Sonis, is touch control. Well, control to be more accurate. Tap once for the game/pause, twice for the forward, and Setira. Extremely funny – Tap several times to adjust the volume. Yes, poking the buds that go into your ear. For comparisons, Google’s Pixel Budes Pro 2 is also small buds, yet they accept swipe control over their surface area, which feel less difficult to use.
Apple uses these trunks at the Air Pods Pro General 2 by adding both the pinch and the swipe control to them. It is very high, though some people still prefer stamless buds because of their sheer shape.

The Sony case is quite compact, almost of the tablet size. But it has a flat downward so it can stand upright, if it makes a difference for you. But a slightly more angular design and the matte end feels a bit more tough. The Air Pods Pro case is well-known and appreciated for its sleek shape and size-it is easily slippery out of pocket and out of your hands … and can be with your hands.
Sony WF-1000xm5 vs Air Pods Pro Sound standard

Sony WF-1000xm5 is definitely their own voice. They like their boss and are not afraid to show it, and they have a bit in the upper end, depending on the song, gender and mix. In general, you can dial them with the app to dial with the app – they can make a very loud and exciting sound, even if the audio file is not the first choice. The separation of their device is also very good, though I think this is a sign below the air pods.
Air Pods Pro, on his own, has a very good voice, though more balanced. Apple likes to put a wider net, and the Air Pods Pro provides just the exact amount of “safe” frequency – it is rare that you will hear anything poking or disturbing. Well, they do like a bit more boss, but this is the case with modern consumer audio – we collectively voted with our wallets that we like a little bounce in our music. They have no way to adjust their EQ (Save for a very limited menu in iOS settings), they have an internal adaptive EQ that will “listen to” microphone data from inside the buddy and adjust the equivalent equal to matching the sound space inside your ear.
Voice staging and the device’s separation on the airpodes is slightly wide, while in WH -000xm5 still a little “in your head” (not bad like XM4s), perhaps because the memory foam points really need to go there.
The good news at the Sony end is that these app EQ is very good. Not too much detail, you only get 5 bands and only 5 bands for height, and at the lower end, anything is adjusted with a clear boss slider, which commands the thump and resonance.

But even better, there is a feature of your equality for people who do not know what bands do, or do not want to worry. Basically, the app will recommend 5 presets you can audition and select which one looks best for you. After that, you are offered 5 additional tones for this important preset. Finally, your selected voice will be saved as a custom EQ preset, and you can adjust the band further if you want and clean the boss slider.
Sony’s WF-1000xm5 is also extremely DSEE as a sales point. It is understood that low Butterta promotes audio, though I will not sit here and show it as I have noticed a huge difference with it. There may be a wide dynamite – a chicken.
360 reality audio and local audio
Sony ranked first in the 3D audio game with her 360 reality audio. You can enjoy it on Amazon music, marine, and nugs.net, and only on the tracks that specialize in 360 reality audio. It looks good-well not better than a master stereo track, a different way to experience your favorite tracks.
Apple, of course, there are also local audio and numerous albums that specialize for local audio in Apple Music, even with Apple TV shows with local audio. That said, you can make any audio source “local” with the toggle inside iOS. The results may vary – some YouTube videos get much pleasant than the “room” experience, while some music tracks that were not built for local audio can bury some devices or get strange resonance.
Generally, these two technologies work very well and look good, but Apple is a bit more accessible.
Sony WF-1000xm5 vs Air Pods Pro Shore Cancel
These airbids are the king of cancellation of active noise. With excellent isolation (Memory foam on WF-1000xm5 works double-time here) and the best algorithm of the top, it is many of the drums we get daily.
When it comes to transparency, Soniz’s work is over, but you can still hear that you are filtering the outside world through airbuds. When you activate the passage mode, the Air Pods Pro General 2 feels very “not even there”. At the end of the day, it is impressive, but once again – Soniz works very good. Sounds and noise come with the representation of appropriate direction and loud, so you know what is happening around you.
Sony WF-1000xm5 vs Air Pods Pro Connectivity
Connect Sony WF-1000xm5 to one Android phone Or thanks to the Windows laptop high -speed pair and Swift pair. They also support multi -point, so you can stay connected with two devices at a time. And, with a variety of codes, you can squeeze the best quality from the device you are currently on.
Apple’s Air Pods Pro General 2 has a magic pair characteristic – open the lid with any of your iDavis and give you a signal. From this location, any device that is logged into your iclood will be paired in these air pods. As an Apple device, they just support AAC for music.
Sony WF-1000xm5 vs Air Pods Pro Battery Life
Soniz itself can squeeze a little more than the buds – for 8 hours on a single charge, with ANC. Air Pods have been cited for killing 6 hours with the ANC. Although you can improve the battery life of WF-1000xm5 by off the ANC (about 4 hours extra), doing so with Air Pods Pro does not offer such a strong improvement. Exterior. Because the algorithm keeps working to work on this adaptable EQ at all times.
When the matter is extracted from the cases – the Sony case gets you 16 hours of extra use (ANC On). Air Pods Pro Case has more juice – about 24 additional hours. Both cases support wireless and wired charging.
Sony WF -1000xm5 vs Air Pods Pro – Result

Sony WF-1000xm5 is slightly risk. One, the design and foam points still cannot fit every ear. Secondly, they have the sound of Sony, which you cannot dial completely. You can adjust it with a taste, and – as I said earlier, I enjoy their energy and cartoon, but if you don’t like it, you can’t be sub -or down on the deep boss.
So, what i Not Like them? On the contrary – personally, I do. However, when it comes to recommending them, I will always mention these two risks.
The Air Pods Pro General 2 has a more balanced sound than the box, which if not all users are happy or very least happy. They also have a little more traditional fit that should be mostly in the ears. In addition, if you have more than one Apple device hand in hand, the air pods pro seems like the right choice – the magic pair is just that simple, hard to look back (whether Bluetooth multi -point “type”).
