Samsung’s Galaxy phones cameras already allow you to slap a watermark on your photos – thanks to a UI 5.0, you can add the device’s name and time stamp below your shots. But now it seems that the South Korean tech giant is ready to get a little creative.
With an UI 8, the company is allegedly adding two new watermark styles. And even they adapt to the image themselves, and make the photo bright and more vibrant with a new vivid tuning.
Break!
For Samsung users, here’s a great discovery!
Yesterday, I said the next version of a UI 8 will introduce two “Chinese -style” photo water marks. But this shows that there is more in it – Shamsung tied his new “vivid” style to a watermark. Look, all my… pic.twitter.com/zkx6jagjc1

Unlike the old watermark that only tells you the device and the time, the new adds a white frame and shows camera information like shutter speed, ISO, and aperture. In addition, there are separate styles for portraits and landscape shots.

These new styles are clearly affected by some Chinese brands such as Oppo, Vivo, Huawei and Xiaomi. However, their phones are often used by Watermark to relax in partnership with Lika, Zees or Hasel Blood.
That said, for example, unlike Vivo or Xiaomi, the artistic watermark on the Samsung phones will apparently only work with the vivid filter – you won’t be able to use it in ordinary camera mode.
In fact, I hope that Samsung will eventually separate both, because more and more people will care about controlling the colorful profile rather than just adding fancy stamp.
It is expected that the new watermark styles will be debuts on the Galaxy S25 series and the Galaxy Z Fold 7. There is no word yet (or if) they will convey it to other devices. A UI 8.5 Can increase the rollout next year.
Bottom line: Samsung is making a little more fun to show your shots while also promoting you a little boost to shine and dynamic – don’t expect to use artistic watermark everywhere … at least for now.
