When you receive a call on your Android phone, you see a standard incoming call screen with this person’s name, number and profile picture. Calling cards allow you to increase a bit, which you can select a full -screen image and stylized text to display each of your contacts. This is mainly the Google version of the iPhone contact posters feature, so not the most actual feature, yet it is an interesting entertainment.

You need to access Google’s calling card

Before showing how to use calling cards, note of a couple of house capping. Calling cards begin on August 15, and in ordinary Google fashion, it may take a while before the feature is directly on your phone.

Calling cards are tied to Google Contacts and Google Phone apps. Calling cards are directly on my Google Pixel 9A, which has a contact app version 4.61.28.792249534 as well as the phone app version 188.0.793710089.

A couple of members on Android Authority The team needs to join the Google phone beta program before the calling cards appear. If you have the latest version of both apps and still don’t see the calling card, you can join the Google phone beta here to see if it indicates to show them.

It is worth noting that calling cards will soon be available in the non -beta version of the Google phone app. You can stay on a stable version and wait for the calling cards to appear there, or now join the beta to use the calling card. In any way, here is the way to use the calling card after you come here on the phone.

How to use and edit calling cards

    Joe Mark / Android Authority

You can create a calling card in the phone and contact app, though I am easy to access them later. Just how easy?

    1. Open Google contacts App on your phone.
    2. Select a contact.
    3. Tap Try to add a calling card.
    4. Add a picture for your calling card. You can use a camera app, select a photo from your online device gallery, or select something from Google Photo.
    5. Customize your calling card! You can use a finger to move your picture around and use two fingers to zoom and zoom. You can also select the font styling and color of the text.
    6. Tap to preview your calling card, then tap What When you finish, in the upper right.
    7. Tap Leave Just to use the image for your contact calling card, or tap Certification and harvest To use the same image for your contact profile picture.
    8. Finally, tap Save In the upper right corner to save your work.

And it’s just that! If the “Try to add the calling card” the permit does not appear on any contact page, you can also tap Pencil icon Thus in the upper part of your screen to make a calling card. Now, when you receive a call from this contact, you will see their personal calling card instead of the routine (and boring) call screen.

There is nothing else to explain for it. Calling cards may not be the most revolutionary feature we’ve ever seen from Google, but I think it’s a fun and charming. This is a beautiful way to accelerate your phone when you get a call from a friend or family member, and these are small touchs that I sometimes enjoy most.
