Possible Star Link has been the biggest barrier to admission for users: $ 349 for goods and $ 120 for services for goods. Now it is starting to change as the star link is offering its lowest monthly prices and reducing the cost of goods in half.

Now you can get the Star Link Standard Kit 5 175, which is below its usual $ 349 price tag. Contrary to previous deals, it is available to new users anywhere in the country. In the past, most of the star link deals have been limited to these areas with fewer users.

Like the project waiver, the star link has not said how long the goods contract will remain. In the past, promotions have usually been going on for several months.

What Star Link is your best option?

Star Link has been a game changer for many people living in the countryside, but I usually just recommend it as the last resort. This is partially due to its high cost – its standard rate is still $ 120 every month still higher than an average price in the United States – and partially due to its performance.

According to a recent report by the Speed Test site Okla, Star Link users receive an average speed of 105Mbps down and 15 Mbps. It is enough bandout for many families, but nevertheless, the Federal Communication Commission explains it as a broadband. (Discovery: Okula is owned by the same basic company such as CNET, Zeif Davis).

According to Okla, the Median download of the star link has almost doubled since 2022.

The speed you get from the Star Link also depends on how many users are in your area. A recent study by Penn State University has shown that only 6.66 households can handle only 6.66 households before sinking under the minimum standard of FCC. This does not mean that you will not have enough speed to need everything online – for example, only 4Mbps in a zoom meeting – but it gives you how to influence the network’s crowded star link.

If a cable or fiber internet connection is available on your address, I always recommend one of the more people than the star link. They can come with their frustrations, but they are far faster and cheaper than satellite providers.

To see what is available to you, enter your address on the FCC broadband map. You will see a list of providers, the kind of technology they use and the speed at which they say they can provide.
