tl; drag
- T -Mobile is sending an SMS to users asking them to update their pin, email and security questions.
- Users are rightly upset about the justification of the text, which includes a click link.
- Although the text is much higher than T -Mobile, it is thanking users for text scams that have become so common these days.
Many T -Mobile users are reporting that they have received a text message asking them to update their pin, email and security questions to “keep their account safe”. This message contains a clicking link that seems to be an official T -mobile address, but users are worried about tapping it.
Although the link is actually real, we checked, and it directs a real T -Mobile domain, SMS alert has thanked users for text scams that have become so common these days. Fishing efforts that copy the official company’s messages, and they often use the same quick accent and links to click to attract victims. It would be better if companies stop sending SMS alerts that encourage users to click on links they cannot easily trust. This message for many people, this message collides with all the usual “scams” boxes.
One user wrote on the Reddate, “Companies: Avoid suspiciously visible writings. Companies: Sends non -proclaimed text that look suspicious.”
“This is the legal thing? I clicked on the link, assuming that this is, even though I had not put any information on the page that had taken me. Waiting for the call from T -Mobile to see if the message was real or if all my information was now leaked. My bank password was already changed.

The confusion is understandable. Security experts have long warned that the text of the scam cannot be separated from the text that is sometimes officially sent by companies.
If you have received the above message from T -Mobile but do not want to click on the link, there is a safe way to take steps that suggests the message.
Login directly into your T -Mobile account through the official website or use the T -Life app to make security changes to your account. That way, you can update your account details without touching the link, though it is legitimate.
