The Google Gemini app is updating with new features that is designed to make it more personal and flexible, while users also provide more ways to control their data. The update has changed a new sequence of personal sequences, a temporary chat option, and confidential control.
Personality answers from past chats
The new “personal context” setting allows Gemini to remember key details from your past conversation and use them to offer more relevant suggestions. Over time, it can make the exchange feel more natural and suitable.

For example, if you have talked about the characters of your favorite comedy book, Gemini can suggest the ideas of the birthday party based on his. If you have asked for the recommendations of the first book, it can point to you to similar topics. And if you have discussed making videos about Japanese culture, the next time you ask for ideas, it can suggest relevant topics.
This layout is turned on as defaults to the 2.5 Pro model users in selected countries, which plans to expand more models and regions soon. However, you can close it at any time in the app settings under the “personal context”.
Temporary chat for private conversation
The update also includes an increase of “temporary chat”, which allows you to start a conversation that does not affect your future results and are not stored in the activity of gymnasium apps. The chats are kept for 72 hours to respond to any of the effects and take action, but they are not used to train Google’s AI models.

This feature is useful to discuss private topics or mental storms out of your usual interests without leaving any clues in your chat history.
More ways to handle your data
Google is changing the name of “Gemini apps activity” to “maintain activity”. When it is on, your future uploads sample, such as files or images, can be used to improve Google Services. If you prefer, you can turn it off or use a temporary chat.

Another control earlier this month allows you to select whether combined audio, video and screen services with Gemini are used. It is as a default but it can be turned on.
These refreshments bring Gemini to Chat GPT and Microsoft Co -Co -AIA assistants, which also offer personal and history -free chat methods. The Google version makes it easy to turn and turn off tools, which can appeal to mobile users who want immediate control.
