Blizzard Entertainment Department and Franchise Development activists have voted for the alliance. Team members will become members of US communications workers and Microsoft has recognized the union. The SFD team is responsible for cinematic, animation and story in a snowstorm series, which produces content such as cut senses and promotional videos in the game. The department also includes archive workers and historians for blizzard franchises, such as World Warraft And Over watch. A CWA spokesperson said the company would have around 169 workers who join the local chapter.
“After working in a snowstorm for more than a decade, I have seen all the heights and the bottom. For years, the snowstorm has been a place where people can make their careers and stay for decades, but this stability is ending,” Bucky Fix, a Principal and a Principal. “With a union, we are able to save how to make this place special, safe real transparency, and make sure the policies are fairly applied to everyone.”
“Both of them have felt important and catheter because of what has happened to video game workers in the industry in the past two months,” said Sammy, another member of the Organizing Committee and an associate producer of the snowstorm. “In numerous places in your life, I have always been told that matters are, but with organizing, we are capable of creating the future better than ourselves.”
Blizzard is owned by Microsoft. Today’s Development Union indicates the latest move for game developers under the Tech Devic umbrella to achieve representation. About 600 600 quality assurance workers of the activation joined the CWA last March. The QA team from Zenimax also confirmed its union contract in June, and Raven software finally acquired the union contract earlier this month.
