    tl; drag

    • Consumers received satellite messaging in the Samsung Messages app.
    • However, the check version of the app is old. The relevant code was actually included in December 2024 and has not changed since then.
    • There is no indication that the active feature is progressing, so do not raise your hopes for satellite messaging.

Samsung messages were analyzed in a recent Reddate thread 16.1.02.2 and these two wires related to the satellite messaging were found.

    • 0x7f1303B: Satellite_Network_Mode_tal: Limited support in satellite mode
    • 0x7f130E37: Samsung_Message_only_support_Sms_When_Stellite_NetWork_Mode: When in satellite mode, Samsung messages only support sending and receiving text messages. RCS messaging is not available and can not be attached to multimedia files such as photos and videos.

In fact, these wires are contained in the stated version. But before you remove your hopes, this version of Samsung messages is not the most recent, even though it has recently been uploaded to a third -party app hosting websites. You can see that these app hosting sites also have new versions like V16.1.10.13.

We checked old versions of Samsung messages, and these strings were added at December 2024 with V15.5.31.9.

    Code

In the satellite format, when in the satellite format, Samsung messages only support sending and receiving text messages. RCS messaging is not available and can not be attached to multimedia files such as photos and videos.

Since then, no new strings have been added to support the satellite format. If Samsung had been actively developing this feature, we would have added more wires in the last eight months.

There is still an opportunity that Samsung is really working to light this feature, and removes it from the public eyes. But it is not appropriate to conclude that this feature is only in active development based on these old wires. We need more controversial evidence in the new app version to indicate that this feature is coming soon.

⚠ ⚠ A AP’s tears Helps predict the features that come in the future based on the code that progresses at work. However, it is possible that such predators do not make it public release.
