Giagia has long been notorious for the classical three things. Famously, it has a wide range of appropriateness-small, simple and relatively afford cheap, it is often seen as a great machine for cash-folders, which is challenged locally and even newcomers add to the espresso.

It also has a longevity, and I mean in two ways. For a start, it has been on a tall scene than a gristed spy-my parents were one at the end of 2000 and was already more than 15 years old. But Giagia is also a legendary for the classic reliability and how easy it is to work on yourself, with those who use and maintain them for 10 years.
Third, though, it is somewhat notorious to be fine, incomplete. Classic is a single boiler machine that does not have PID – temperature controller to keep boiler conditions stable. Without one, the shot -to -shot consistency can be greatly affected.

The solution has been either a long time A) Follow a hard -working “surfing” government to keep the machine in the right balpark. Or b) This makes the nasty mood, chief and first mode usually digital temperature controller.
Now, though, with the latest Giagia Classic E24 EVO Pro Model, this flaw has just been determined. Can this be the best espresso machine for purests in the budget? I feel like this. Why is it here

A classic contradiction

First, a little context. Its characteristics have historically made Giagia a somewhat contradictory to the classic. Single biller cheap and compact size, not to mention the abundance of units in the market (especially other hands), obviously it makes a good machine for budget -aware fans and even initials.
Nevertheless, its flaws, namely PID temperature controller, are occurring for many fans. Coffee-consensus is that the classic needs to be edited to work well. The thing is: Many fans, including themselves, do not want to rotate with the temperature surfing at 6 in the morning, nor do they edit their espresso machine to avoid doing so. Either they just want an easy life, or they don’t feel confident enough to tinker with electronics or pressure systems. And both are fully understandable.

In my view, this has been the biggest problem of the classic. It is attracted to the fans, yet the enthusiasts of these features do not really need off -off – not very worrying.
So why not just buy a similar price, temperature -controlled machine such as Breville Bambino Plus (9 499)? You will sacrifice Giagia’s longevity and high potential, but still not easily mentioning life, getting a very good espresso outside the box. This trade is generally worth it.
With the latest E24 EVO Pro Model, though, Giagia must have done a lot of work to fix this competent error.

The latest model Giagia is the classic E24 EVO Pro, which I have been examining for almost three weeks now. The Chief Update is an introduction to a brass boiler and group compared to previous models. The boiler is also 25 % larger, and the portfall holder has been upgraded to stainless steel.
All of this means better temperature stability, theoretically complex temperature surfing or reducing the need for PID installation. Has he worked? Yes, I will say so. At least, it has been done enough that I have not felt serious changes in my espresso shots.
I was expecting that E24’s brass boilers would mostly be marketing flour. And I was wrong.
Encouragement is about the extra, barely significant improvement in the market. So I am sure that every morning, someone with a lot of time on their hands will tell me how wrong I am in the comments, and how different the shots.

But in fact, I have found it more stable than expected. I used the Ranselio Sylvia V6 for a few months last year, where I had to surf the temperature for permanent results. The Slovia V6 is the thermal wrapped boilers, who speculate for better stability, but writing home was not too much. Similarly, I was expecting that E24’s brass boilers would mostly be marketing flour. And I was wrong.
Is that perfect? No. I had to follow a very light surfing government: to make sure that the boiler had heated for a few minutes, the steam valve opened for a few seconds, then pulled some water through the group and returned to the temperature. Less than two minutes, but without doing so, I have a strange, water shot.
Is it alive without PID? Completely

After pulling the shot in 20-30 seconds, the milk stick also receives a large amount of heating. However, it will give enough milk for eight to 12 ounces flat white in less than 10 seconds. This is terrific.
Is the Giagia Classic E24 EVO Pro worth?
The Giagia Classic E24 EVO Pro demands a premium compared to previous models. The brass boiler E24 model costs $ 549, compared to 9 349 Pro 2019 models and 9 449 EVO Pro 2024 models.

Is it worth it? For people like me: Yes. I am an experienced fans, which used many machines from admission level thermoblokes and single boilers to double boiler home units and whole size commercial machines. But I do not want to get rid of the amendment. Nor do I want to spend more than an hour’s temperature surfing in the morning, as is the Ranselio Sylvia V6.
Giagia does this classic E24. Enough to keep me happy is quite compatible, which allows me to focus on my basic input variables: roast, food and grind. Steam stick is much better than rivals like thermublook rivals like Bambino Plus. And if I want to get Giagia below the line, I have decades of resources.

Well, I’m torn there. This thing makes a huge espresso and has a powerful steam stick to learn how to make late art. It is a wonderful platform to learn. But there are some errors that are clearly unforgivable at the 550 Price price point.
First, the E24 comes with no appropriate tempo – just a bad plastic that is painful to use. There are no accessories for cleaning. No problem for me: I have two 58 mm tampes and various cleaning. Early people should be given everything they need if they spend $ 550, so it is difficult for me to recommend them to E24 Evo Pro.
Breweel Bambino Plus (9 499) will come with everything with an initial need.
Why am I sticking with E24
When I started testing, I never thought, but I decided that I would be sticking to the Giagia classic, at least for the time. My previous machine was Dletta Mio (3 1,349) – a dual boiler/thermobo block machine that is just amazing. The only problem is that… it’s big. Huge

Its size has grown from the fact that I live in 240V men and have to use a huge step -by -step transformer to avoid blowing MIO.
I am one of the locally challenged espresso lovers I have mentioned in my introduction. My kitchen is small, so I’m enjoying the small size of the giagia. I can fit in E24, my variability 3 quantity, knock box, tumping mat and phlegesta arc scales inside all the delete maps.
It doesn’t matter, of course, if it was quite terrible. But it is not. And at the end of the day, this is really important.
