Samsung’s One UI8 update is available on the company’s latest foldable, other Galaxy series will be reached in the future. The company recently unveiled a new AI -powered feature, aimed at dealing with the rise of the AI -powered sound, called ‘Voice Fishing Call Alert’. It is currently being manufactured in South Korea, and is limited to an UI 8 galaxy devices. This means that users with Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Philip 7 foldable smartphones can test this feature. The company is expected to increase this feature in the coming months.
How Samsung’s ‘Voice Fishing Call Alert’ feature works
In a post related to its community forum, Samsung announced that a new ‘Voice Fishing Call Alert’ feature would be part of a stable One UI 8 update in Korea. According to a company representative, Samsung users will see a “detection” message when dialing an unsafe number. It is currently available in Korean, and works for outgoing calls.
“When calling an unknown number, we find you using AI in real time and inform you whether there is any doubt of voice phishing”, written in the post. If a potential risk is identified, consumers will receive immediate alert through sound and vibration.
Samsung says the suspected call fishing -alert feature detects voice fishing using data from the National Police Agency and the National Institute of Scientific Investigation. The post includes the feature machine translated screenshots.
How to enable Sound Fishing Call Alerts on an UI 8
Sounds Frying Call Alert feature can be obtained by moving toward the phone app and selecting Settings> Voice Fishing Call Notification of Call > Voice Fishing Call Notification of CallTo activate the Funtentity.
This feature is currently special to the Samsung Galaxy devices running a stable version of an UI 8, meaning it is only available on Samsung’s latest foldable phones. Interested users can check by following a UI version of their Settings > Software update > Download and install To get the latest update.
Voice Fishing detection feature is currently limited to Korea. Samsung is expected to bring it to global consumers, but there is no word about when it will happen, or how many regions will be supported.
Samsung launched an UI 8 Blood based on its Android 16 in the Galaxy Inapid 2025 last month. The newly launched Galaxy Z Fold 7, the Galaxy Z Philip 7, and the Galaxy Z Philip 7 FE models were sent with the new interface. Samsung’s One UI 8 beta program is currently available for a few Galaxy flagship. In the coming weeks, the Galaxy S24 series and last year’s foldable smartphones are confirmed open.
