Leaving home without my phone is a dream equipment. Leaving home without my phone On the purpose? Are you kidding if I need to take a picture of something? What would I see if I needed to wait in line? What would happen if the suffering of a destruction or a The war of the worlds Happens The chances are very high. But facing all this uncertainty, I (mostly) left my phone at home last week – aimed at home.

I wanted to see if I could only get through an LTE -driven smart watch, an experience in which I was itching for a while. I, like many of my fellow elders, I am watching my phone a lot. This is my job, but still. One break will be good now and again. I didn’t believe the least phones, which never seems to be what I want. Cellular Smart Watch does not mean that smartphone changes may be a destination, but it seems that for someone seems to be a completely effective alternative to retrieving and staying connected at the screen time. You can still send messages, read your email, and when you can play your podcast only, just like, Exists. Dream!

How will it be? Waiting for my coffee order to take, not screen in sight, just vibration? Would I feel more connected with my fellow man? Can I regenerate my mind, cure my anxiety, may I finish my jaw for seconds of two gods? Sort, as it comes out. But it was not snap.

First Day: Apple Watch starts with iPhone

I used an Apple Watch with my iPhone 13 mini for this exercise. I was tempted to try with an Android phone and a pixel watch with Gemini, but to mix an AI assistant into a mixture as many variables were introduced at the same time. More later on it.

I was sitting at a table in a sidewalk cafe, staring at a capchino, maybe wearing a blonde skirt (I didn’t have a Blavi skirt), reading a newspaper and occasionally stopped in a beautiful summer day. The truth was not so glamorous. On the small screen of the watch, it was very angry, pulled the side of the road on my motorcycle, sure I had forgotten about an important call this afternoon. Often, it seemed as if I wandered on my wrist, described the text in a quiet, straight voice: “At the point of the house in my way.” Walking in your watch in the public is a great way to look very normal and strange.

It felt terrible and amazing at the same time

This first afternoon, I left my iPhone face on the dining room table, just a few minutes later to log in to Strava and run back at the front door in front of the spot on the phone so that they could work properly on the clock. Only one of the many reminders is that the Apple Watch’s existence depends on the iPhone. With this work, I came out on my motorcycle without any room. It felt horrible and amazing at the same time.

At a coffee shop, I learned that swipe to type on the watch board of the watch is amazingly accurate, if painful. Voice input is definitely the way, but I hate talking to technology in the presence of others, so I either work hard to type the text answers or more likely – don’t answer until I am on my laptop later. This is rarely I expect.

At the end of the first day, my morale was high. I didn’t feel any smart or less upset, but instead of scrolling my phone that night, I made some pencils and paper sodoku puzzles and felt good about it.

Second day: This little smart watch goes to market

I should reveal that I cheated a little. In most parts of this exercise, I picked up another phone as an editor. But I don’t think I violated the challenge because it was not a cellular connection and b) I kept it in the mood that imitates e -ink. I banned social media apps and downloaded Ali Wang’s book, which I had purchased years ago and had forgotten the coil app. This is a fun reading.

I went to my wrist to the pack on my motorcycle with a clock and a fake e -reader in my bag. I also drove my iPhone and put it in the bag tooFor, for, for,. I think the last resort in the case of glasses at a time. The way I learned something that now seems clear: If your iPhone is off, it cannot send all your notifications to the clock.

Changing messages on the clock’s small keyboard is not as horrible as it seems.

You still have access to anything that has a native watch app like messaging and emails. But I was somehow expected to get slack messages on the clock, which did not happen because there is no watch app. On the other hand, I got a little leave from the slack for the afternoon, and no one died, because I am a writer and not a surgeon on the call. I think there is a lesson there. However, the watch battery arranged some heavy use, including a 40 -minute call to my sister, so I name it as a overall win.

I left my phone at home to pick up my child from daycare, which I did inadvertently. This time it was on purpose, and it was a pleasure to know that I would be able to make an emergency call when needed. Matters were going well – unless the time of Dollingo arrives.

Forgive me, because I’m scrolled. I came to bed and completed a lesson to protect my series, but once I did, the old habits returned. I spent 20, maybe in a 30 -minute scrolling? Finally I was conscious and put the phone on my charger. Lesson learned: If I allow for things like doolingo, I will allow some phone time and need to catch messages, I need to maintain some boundaries. No more bedtime.

Third day: Who is going to drive me home tonight?

The bus ride was fine. It was just when to get down. Is Union Street Stop near the Symphony Light Real Station? Or is it Columbia? When did they start calling it Symphony station? Before I looked at this path, I am sure I know the path so that I do not turn on the navigation. But my especially a brand of anxiety is one in which I constantly ask the things I know that this is true.

Generally, I extract my phone, once again find the necessary information, calm my nerves with solid assurance. I could do the same with the clock, but it had passed for a long time, and it was too much. I just decided to trust him that when I approached him, I would remember the stop, and I did. Union Street. The woman wins the anxiety. I was one with the city.

I could just say yellow taxi service As people did for decades before the existence of a lesson

I later crashed from my height when I offered to share an Uber house with a friend who lives near me and then he realized that I had no way to request Uber. The ugly friend praised Uber with kindness and I headed him half later. But the unexpected Snifo shook me a bit. What would have happened if I had no friend to arrange a shared Uber? Would I have to stay in this one in the U District for the rest of the time?

Really, I could return to the public transit without any hassle, it would take an additional hour. Or, I realized, I could just say pale taxi service As people did for decades before the existence of a lesson. Uber offers the option to call on the phone and request a ride, as it reveals. Everything would be fine, and with a little planning, I asked anyone to find a ride home.

I fell a little from the wagon. I mostly brought my phone as a backup when I needed to do something with clockwise, such as looking for an open restaurant nearby for lunch and keeping in a pickup order. I had to take my husband to the outpatient procedure anyway, and leaving my phone at home felt a little irresponsible. But I maintained the phone’s policy when it was understood, and even between audio indicators and hippoc wrist taps, Apple’s maps were found to be fully usable on the clock while driving. IKEA’s online order was a bit difficult, as it just presented the QR code and web address to tell the store that I had arrived for my order. Hedge, about the phone number, IKEA? But I went to the store and used their Wi-Fi to check in on the e-link-phone-phone-the repetition.

Even a few days of phone or phone lights help prevent me from reaching my phone at every waking up every day. Now, instead of keeping my phone permanently around the house, I realize that I often don’t know where it is. I am listening to a podcast using air pods and watch, or when I have a few minutes time time, I am reaching this paper Sodoko book. There is no bad result.

Using Apple Watch my phone taught me about B2B selling (and other learning)

It needs more planning and discipline than I expected. You have to keep a little more conscious of where you are going and what are your plans to get home. It would be a good idea to have a phone number to serve Uber in your contacts. Keeping your phone out of your bedroom will help to follow Johnston’s DIY MUMB phone method when you are inevitably lift your phone again. I had to think more about charge my watch before I had done before. Getting the biggest, most beautiful watch you can submit will be the right step here.

I can also see that if you want to dig your phone further, the AI assistant in your watch will be a really good thing. Finding things on my calendar or checking the details in Google Doctor can really work. Siri, you may not be surprised to know, it is not dependent on such actions.

This watch didn’t take my phone job at all.

As clean, I don’t think our phone addiction is a gadget or a fine. But I think the weapon of the tools can help us to help us, and the cellular -connected smart watch is a really good tool. There may be a little NFC tile to help you again claim your attention in a particular situation. Or maybe the best smartphone is your current phone with some good focus methods. Probably all the above.

And I can’t learn this lesson enough in my life, but I have a lot of success in creating habits when I focus on enjoying some of my routines rather than I am depriving myself of something. Keeping a jagus puzzle on the table or holding a sofa book with a sofa helps my mind catch my mind on something before I can scream about what I am trying Not Do

Practice is a thing, as it always happens, and requires a new habit and practice exercises to get away from something bad. Whatever the tool you can use an ounce of attention for the paw, it helps. Not all together, and not forever, but keep working again as an ongoing thing. This smart watch experience is reminded of me. This was not the answer, but when I need a break from my phone, I’m going to put a cellular watch on my phone plan on my phone plan. And it has not helped my jaw clinching, but this is probably the side effect of any medicine.
