Samsung Galaxy Z Folds 7,000 times after hand folding and opening them, the Korean YouTube channel Tech Tech-so that the folding phone’s re-designed occupation and thin design cannot compete with repeated handling.
The stunt, which used to walk directly during a few days, found that the phone would reboot every 6,000 to 10,000 times. At 46,000 layers, the phone cracked. On 75,000 layers, an unknown black liquid began to get out of possession. At 175,000 layers, all the speakers, including the airpace, stopped working. At the end of the experiment, the folding method has been smooth, and at any angle the ability to maintain its shape still works. These results were uploaded to a publicly available Google Doctor.
“Although it is possible to make a machine to fold, we didn’t choose,” said Tech-Huanei, the host, who goes through itchylin, said in a statement. “Machines apply permanent force, which do not reflect that people use foldable phones in their daily life. To improve the situation in the real world, I decided to fully connect it.”
It seems that itching is a point. Samsung has advertised that Z -Fold can compete with 7 500,000 folds. But it was probably done in an artificial environment.
Samsung did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Companies such as Samsung, Apple, Motorola and Google undergo integration testing. Machines of folding phones, machines open thousands of times open and close phone to find out how they can remain in the real world.
“From this project, I have learned from this project that there may be a clear difference between the results of the lab test and the results of the real -world scenario,” said Iteline. “I also felt that in any stability test, not only is it necessary to review hardware, but also how internal software is treated over time.”
Given that foldable phones have complex occupation design and flexible display, they regularly suffer more damage or failure than slab -style phones. Stability, with battery life, is actually a major reason that some users are not jumping into the world of folding phone.
