According to the IDC’s worldwide quarterly personal computing device tracker report, global pill delivery Q2 2025 increased by 13.1 percent Yoy, which reached 38.3 million units, up 33.8 million in the same period last year. The reason for this growth is attributed to new product launches, alternative cycles, active education projects and subsidies in China. The IDC noted that AI -powered features and production capacity and performance correction helped increase interest in the premium tablet segment.
Apple retained a large part of global pill delivery and retained its top position in Q2 with a market share of 33.1 %. The Capetino -based brand sent 12.7 million units and registered 2.4 % YOY growth in the same period. Amazon re -entered the first five tablet vendors in the second quarter, claiming to be fourth. The company sent 3.1 million units and recorded 205 % YOY growth. “Q2 2025 highlights the performance of the tablet market in Q2 2025 that a large portion of consumers is sensitive to price,” said Anwarupa Nataraj, an IDC’s movement and consumer device trackers. He also pointed out that promotional discounts and subsidy purchase decisions strictly affect, and many buyers prefer to wait for attractive deals rather than pay the full retail price. Nataraj added, “Even for top shopkeepers like Samsung, these are their aggressive promotions, which has led to more volume selling in many regions, and for Apple, the volume is still driven by their lower -level iPads.”
