Xumi announced a new visual identity for its sub -brand Redmi in the country on Wednesday. The Beijing -based technology firm said the Redmi 15G would be the first handset to reach its latest brand identity. As part of the changes, a new logo will be presented in the Redmi Sub -brand of Xiaomi, which features all upper case text in the Red Calverway. The company enrolled in the Indian market in 2014 and celebrated its 11th birthday in the country last month.
Xiaomi brings new Redmi logo to other markets after the start of China
In a press note, Xumi India said its sub -brand’s new identity indicates how the company looks at its consumer base in India. The Redmi will be the first phone of 15 5G company, which will feature a new branding feature on August 19.
Specifically, Xiaomi first announced the fresh visual identity of Redmi in November 2024, but it was limited to China. The branding was introduced on November 27, 2024 with the launch of the Redmi 80 series.
“The new Redmi identity reflects this shared evolution,” said Sudhan Mathore, the chief operating officer of Xumi India, in a prepared statement on Wednesday. The young India is still bold, but Mahatkakanakshi is still aware of itself.
Since its entry to the Indian smartphone market in 2014, Redmi has claimed that it has sold more than 220 million devices, which increases 1.1 billion handets that it has sent to global markets. Less than two years after the launch in India, the company reported income of $ 1 billion (about Rs 8,765 crore).
