After launching Vivo V50 in India this February, Vivo followed the more affordable V50e in April. Although both phones distribute similar design language, V50E contains a small battery, a different chip set, and a scaled downdown camera system. It still maintains key features from the V50 such as quad concentration display, IP69 rating, and 90W fast charging. Compared to last year’s V40E, however, the upgrades are modest. Vivo V50e starts with Rs. 28,999 for 20 different conditions with 8 GB Ram and 128GB storage. Is it worth upgraded? Read to find out.
Vivo V50e Design
Vivo V50e looks close to V50, which is the only significant difference of color options. Compared to its predecessor, V40E, V50E brings a newly -designed camera module and a more better look, thanks to its new quad coarse display, which is an upgrade from the standard curved screen on the old model.
Phone is available in Sapphire Blue (Image) and Pearl white color options
We got the Vivo V50e’s sapphire blue variety, and it is definitely a head turner. The back panel features a glowing wave that catchs the light beautifully. Vivo claims that each unit has a unique model in the rear panel. However, we cannot confirm it, only tested a device. There is also a Pearl white color.
The back panel also has a Caul styling camera module, which contains two cameras and an Aura color light flash. You will also find Vivo Branding towards the bottom left corner. The back panel is made of polycarbonate, and so is the frame, which ends. The sapphire blue is 7.6 mm thin, while the Pearl white is slightly thinner at 7.39 mm. The phone weighs 186 grams and therefore is very comfortable to maintain it. Thanks to the curved edges, comfort has been increased.

The phone has a sparkling frame that can easily attract fingerprints and smoke
You will find power and volume buttons on the right edge, which includes housing below, which includes a USB type-C port, a loudspeaker, a SIM card tray, and double microphone. There are also dual microphones in the upper part of the phone. Vivo V50e is claimed to meet the IP68 and IP69 rating, which is good.

Vivo V50E does not offer micro SD card slot
In front, the phone has a 6.77-inch large Fil-HD+ AMOLED quadted display that contains thin bezers. The panel offers a 120 -he feet refresh rate and offers hole cartoon cutouts for selfie camera. It also has a display fingerprint scanner downward.
Vivo V50e Performance
Let’s start with the display performance. Vivo V50e offers a satisfactory experience to run your favorite shows and movies, which has McM .L. Ring, HDR10+ Support, and Woodon L1 certification. The quad conducted design also increases the immersion, which makes it more premium than the flat display. Vivo claims to have a top brightness of 1,800 nets, but in real -world use, the screen does not brighten the outside. However, it performs very well at home.

VIVO V50e’s display is not very capable of direct sunlight, but works great inside home
Vivo V50E is powered by the Medetic Dimension 7300 SOC, which is the same chip set used in last year’s V40E. It comes up to 256GB of 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. In artificial benchmark tests, V50E presented close results in his predecessor, which did not benefit the performance. Similar price phones such as Poko X7 Pro, Vivo V50E performance is significantly short in performance.

Although daily performance is usually smooth, I encountered a little break during the extended BGMI gaming session and taking pictures burst into the camera app. On the plus side, the phone is relatively cool under the load. It runs out of the box, running the Android 15 -based Phantom OS 15, and it is promised that there are three years of Android updates and four years of security patches. You also find a handful of AI features, including AI Image Extendors, photo enhancers, and AI Eraser 2.0 – all of them work well. Google’s Circle Two Search and Gemini are also on the board.

Vivo V50e’s rear camera resembles V40e
Moved by cameras, Vivo V50e features dual rear setup, but unlike standard V50, there is no Zis Branding. You get a 50 -megapixel Sony IMX882 primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), which connects with an 8 megapixel ultra -wide camera. For selfies and video calls, a 50 -megapixel Samsung JN1 sensor is front. The strange thing is, despite using the “portrait to pro” tagline, Vivo has not added a dedicated portrait lens on V50e.
Image quality from the primary rear camera is great in daylight conditions with good details, natural visible color, a wide dynamic range, and decent balanced exposure. The ultra -wide camera also performs well in a well -bright environment. However, you will see some noise around the edges. Portraits photos from the phone are good with good -edge detection, but do not offer natural color tones like standard shots. You can also use Aura Lite to add some filters to portrait photo. The phone also allows you to shoot 2x photos and 4K videos on 30 FPS (both front and rear camera).![]()

Daylight shots from central and ultra -wide reader cameras
The primary rear camera also catchs good images in a low light situation using long exposure. However, you will find some noise and glances from the sources of light. On the other hand, the ultra -wide camera produces noise and soft images.![]()

Now, let’s discuss the battery life, which influenced me the most when you tell the truth. The phone packs 5,600mAh battery, which is slightly higher than 5,500mAh unit at V40E. You charge a slightly faster on 90W with the charger included in the box. In the PC mark battery test, the phone lasted for 23 hours and 42 minutes. In daily use, it easily provided 6-7 hours of screen on-time. As long as the charge is concerned, the 90W charger enabled the phone to go from 0 to 10 minutes and 10 minutes to full charge.

Portrait photo pulling in low -light conditions is useful
The phone offers a hybrid speaker setup that provides sufficient volume of indoor use, but lacks the boss depth. The quality of the call and the microphone was also good. These display fingerprint sensors are also fast and reliable.
Vivo v50e decision
So, should you get more than Vivo V50e Old V40E? My answer will be a tough number, as the new phone does not have many new features to guarantee upgrade. Yes, the latest model looks significantly better with its quadted display and unique altitude panels, but it is not enough that I recommend those who own Vivo V40e. The phone also stands in the same price range compared to other phones, such as POCO X7 Pro (Review), which provides better performance, improved display, and equally good camera.
Vivo V50e is not a bad phone, but it is also not an important upgrade. However, if you are seeing the phone as the first purchase, you probably want to give it a shot.
