The open followers of the Open Model Release are tired of hearing about the GPT5, which is the next major step in the company’s flagship line of big language models. Apparently it is expected all year long. But the indicators are getting stronger.

Earlier this week, the Chat GPT maker has also unveiled its open-weight models-GPTOS, which has been tampered with for months. Unlike Google Gemini, such as GPT models and other famous LLMs, they offer transparency, how they work and think. However, just before this release, CEO Sam Altman indicated that something bigger is coming: “Today, a little big but small,” he posted on X, “and then a big upgrade this weekend.”

Work on GPT5 has not been a secret, and the hype has been severe. In an July interview with Podcast Theovan, Altman said he was examining a new model and asked him to translate and write email, which had problems with understanding. “I felt useless in this thing in comparison to the AI that I felt like I should have been able to do and I could not do so,” (This must be a very impressive email.)

It’s been a long time to come. The current generation of the complex program behind the GPT -4, Chat GPT and many other tools came in March 2023, which has long been in the world of big language models. There has been a lot of repetition since then: GPT -4.5 began in February this year. This space also revealed models of reasoning, including O3 and O4 families.

The GPT -5 was actually expected to take place in the early part of this year, but the reversal said in April that it would be delayed in a few months. The developers felt more difficult than expected to connect all their elements, and the opposite said they also want to make sure they have the ability to support “what we expect unprecedented”.

On Sunday, he doubled the ability to worry, “Although it may be a bit kitty, but we think you will really love what we have created for you!”

Open rivals are not sitting around their thumbs. Google’s Google’s 2.5 models released in March include reasoning, and heavy indicators are also able to handle. Claude 4 models of Anthropic, which began in May, are specially designed for coding and complex tasks. But this is a chat GPT that confronts the pack as the most famous default tool for users, and a new version can increase this edge.

It also cannot be perfect. Openi had to draw up his GPT -4O model earlier this year because it was great -as good, as good as it can’t back down, even if you are asking about something harmful to yourself or others.
