Air Pods Pro 2 and Air Pods Max already offer local audio when Apple Music songs are connected to the iOS device. But it is not that all Apple plans for local audio in 2025.
At its World Wide Developers Conference in June, Apple quietly revealed that it intends to improve the pre -audio immersion offered on devices like AirPod – and all of this depends on Apple local audio format, or a new audio format called ASAF.

What is Apple ASAF?
Local audio formats like Dolby Atmos not only play audio around you, but also Up You, adding the last piece of the puzzle, now called the Object -based audio, where audio elements can move into a 3D environment.

But, asaf can still do Set On Dolby Atmos. Dolby Atmos Audio can be presented through Apple’s new format, which contains some additional 3D tricks in the audio, to make it more interactive in an environment where the user can rotate with the headphones.
In some settings, such as on the sofa with a dedicated sound system, ASAF is not just necessary – but when you try to copy the Dolby Atmos experience with the headphones and allow a person to rotate, it becomes very useful.

As you can expect, the availability of ASAF will be limited to Apple devices – all its platform formats except wachos will support.
Apple has said that all Apple’s deep video content will need to be adopted to the APAC, so it can reasonably steam faster, at least when it comes to the content for the purpose of content for platforms like Vijonus.
As far as we see that the next Apple Vision Headset, the rumor is that we will not see two of them by the end of 2025 or early 2026. And, when they arrive, the Asif will be there so that they can help more than their predecessor.
