Openai is taking Google’s most high profile AI product-notion book-LM with its new Chat GPT Study mode, and I say it quietly-it can be better.
They are not the same product, and the study mode does not include the pod casting feature that helped the notebook LM go viral, but this is a good way to deal with a complicated problem without responding without AI.
I am currently having a Distance Learning Degree with the UK’s Remote Learning Open University Organization, which is focusing on various topics of science and technology. Having a tool like a notebook LM allows me to work through material and ask questions without any decision. The Chat GPT Study Format is – but with a better LLM and an interface designed to learn, not only sourcing information.

The study mode is not as radical shift as a notebook LM. Basically, this is a compatible version of Chat GPT itself, with focusing on learning and interactive. This Openi is directly included in the Chat GPT, which is using the basic LLM to create a startup – which includes the choice of Dolingo.
Even the Claude has an option for study that allows you to make samples around a particular topic. This is not a new idea, but the implementation of an openness is amazingly effective.
Technically, you can create a version of ‘study mode’ using a project, your own data files, and customs guidelines – it is basically how it was built. Behind the study mode is designed to provide customized instructions, reflect self -reflection, and provide viable feedback. It becomes basically a tutor.

Used together, they cover a lot of land and can truly change how you approach learning.
The future of the AI -powered learning tools seems to be promising, with both platforms likely to develop faster. Openai has indicated to add features to the study mode, possibly allowing students to distribute sessions or work together on issues. Notebook LM can enhance its audio capabilities so that various presentation styles can be added beyond the current podcast format.
Consider your learning style of deciding students among them: If you are a comedy learning who take advantage of the discussion, the notebook LM podcast feature is invaluable. If you prefer to solve the interactive problem and learn guidance, the study mode tuition approach will serve you better. Ideal scene? Use both – they are complementary tools that together, create a comprehensive environmental system of learning.
