Apple has fallen behind in the AI race, but its executives are still reducing the importance of catching. Industry’s internal Mark Gorman-in the strength of his newsletter-says the company’s upper acelone is still skeptical about AI-powered chat boats that can do many tasks. Chat GPT is an excellent example of such a chatboat. Certainly, you can interact with it in length, but you can handle it, write code for you, or even create a unique digital image. Now hundreds of millions of people rely on Chat GPT on a daily basis, which has led to the most prominent company in the world in a very short time.
It is no secret that Apple’s digital assistant, Siri, is badly incompetent than its rivals, like Google’s Gemini. Apple is already using Chat GPT on its devices to handle most tasks for which Siri is ill. So, I am a little surprised that some people in the company are still diminishing the importance of such a device.
According to Gorman, Apple’s executives claim that consumers’ interest in such a chatboat is limited, which I think is easily unacceptable to look at Open’s success. In addition, they do not think that Apple’s chat GPT and Gemini’s replacement is a sign of the company’s lack of replacement in the AI race.

I, personally, don’t agree. Ai is here to live here, and it is just going to advance every aspect of our lives. As Gorman has also stated, many people have relied on AI model such as GPT4, and many are using AI chat boats for traditional search engines.
Samsung – The biggest rival in Apple’s smartphone market – Google has also added Gemini to his phone. Because of this, Galaxy S25 and Pixel 9 provide more AI experience compared to both iPhone 16. Apple is also spending tons of money to come with a domestic alternative, so the executives’ remarks may seem strange to me.
Shortly thereafter, we came to know why Apple lost the AI race, and much more was that the company’s executives approached artificial intelligence when it was flying for the first time. The company really needs to move this mentality in the past, because when it comes to AI, its traditional playbook will not help it.
And, seeing how many products will rely on it, Apple is just sabotaging its success for the future of computing.
