For the PC, Samsung Dex was once an easy way to turn his Galaxy phone into a desktop experience on his computer. But with the release of an UI 7, Samsung quietly ended up supporting the Stand Dex for the PC app. In its place, Samsung promotes Microsoft’s phone link integration, which allows users to access their phone’s screen and apps-but it does not have a complete environment like Desks that made Dax popular.

Difference A UI 8 That is, Samsung’s new dex is built on Android’s ancestral desktop mode. This new Foundation enables Dax to run on a virtual display, which is exactly the same as the SCRCP taps. By using ScrcPY to launch Virtual Display from yourself Galaxy phoneYou can photograph the Dex environment on your computer, complete with mouse, keyboard, audio, and clipboard support.

If you feel comfortable using ADB tools, the process of setting it is also very easy. According to Mashal Rehman, what you need to start is a galaxy device that is going on A UI 8 Or later, your Windows PC or SCRCPY has been installed on a laptop, and ADB (Android Debug Bridge) has been established. No root is essential, and once everything comes to its place, you can start a simple command and start decks: SCRCPY-NewsPLAY = 1920×1080/284

It opens the Virtual Dex session in your selected resolution. Samsung’s offer is something IT is a smart work – and for now, this is the only way to get a complete dex experience on the computer.

Of course, this method has limits. You need to stay comfortable with the command line tools, and it won’t work on devices that do not support Android 16’s desktop mode. This includes Google Pixel phones, which still require a physical display to activate the feature.

In our previous report, we covered how Samsung has designed under Dax A UI 8 To get better match Android 16Vision for desktop computing. Although this re -design came with mixed reactions – some appreciated the cleaner setting, others lost the old features – it clearly indicated the change in the direction.

Compared to Apple’s approach, which still lacks any kind of iPhone to desktop experience, Samsung is ahead of mobile production capacity. But removing the official PC support felt as a step behind. This new work helps to pull this gap.

It is encouraging to see ways to enhance the utility of galaxy devices. Even if Samsung no longer offers decks for the PC, the demand is still clear.
