Google is eventually giving Android Auto more personal touch. With the latest beta update, Android Auto can now mirror your Android phone’s wallpaper color scheme, which is used by the material, a themeing system that draws the accent from your background image. This means that your car’s infotainment screen can soon be met with your home screen.

This change comes as part of the Android auto version 14.9 son, though some users are already watching it in a stable release. 9TO5 According to a recent Google report, the update first fixes colorful consistency issues and extends to support more dynamic topics. For example, colorful accents now appear equally in the Android auto interface and automatically refresh your phone’s wallpaper. Its effect is the most significant in the Android auto -setting panel.

Although this new “substance is not your expression” design that is just developed with Android 16, it is still a huge visual upgrade for Android Auto. So far, Android Auto has received less visual updates than Core Android apps, which often stick to useful design. This change brings it more closely with the rest of Google’s climate system. Google is not stopping there. The company is allegedly examining the Light theme option for Android Auto as well as integrated car climate control and a major change in Gemini AI from Google Assistant. These additions can take Android auto according to Google’s major AI ambitions, as Gemini wear is seen in places like OS, Android, and even Gmail.

Compared to the Apple Corplay, which still selects mostly static and clean interface, Android Auto is now looking for deep personalities. Apple has been slow to adapt to Encycloped UI changes, and instead focuses on consistency in vehicles. For users who prefer more harmony between their phone and car, Google’s approach can offer more flexible experience.

In my view, this is a welcome update. Although some drivers may not care to meet UI colors during travel, these changes include Polish into a platform that is often left behind. It is also a sign that Google is treating Android Auto more than just one functional tool. However, we hope that visual updates will not cover up fast performance and low insects, two issues that still affect the experience in the car.

At least, it is encouraging to see that Android Auto is ready again. And if Google moves forward with the better features of Gemini integration and car control, it can help the platform standing in a competitive place, where small improvements can make a big difference behind the wheels.
