Google has introduced a new AI model called the Alpha Orth Foundation, which can act like a “virtual satellite”. The model uses a system called “embellishment”, which works with a large amount of pubic information from various sources such as optical satellite, radars and climate imitation, and then works together. It then divides the land and coastal waters into 10×10 meters squares, after which it analyzes and tracks over time. As if Wired Explains, these squares are colored codes to indicate different features, such as plant types and material properties.
The company said that the foundations of Alpha Ayyerat make it easier to use the data, which they are called “extreme compact summons”, which are called “extreme compact summons” for every square of land or coastal water. These compact summores are apparently needed 16 times less storage than they are developed by the AI system, thus reducing the costs required for land observation.
So what can the model data be used for? Google explained that scientists can use models to produce detailed maps on demand for multiple purposes, such as monitoring crop health or tracking forest harvesting. In its announcement, the company claims that the model performed well in widespread tasks during various times when it was tested. Google wrote, “The Alpha Orah Foundation represents an important step in understanding the state and dynamics of our changing planet.” The company gained more than 50 organizations access to the model satellite embedding datastas, which is a combination of its annual embedded, to examine its use in real -world applications over the past one year. Now, it has released a datastate in the Google Earth engine so that other scientists can use it for their research.
