Update, July 29, 2025 (03:35 AM et): T -Mobile has provided the following statement by the spokesperson:

We need to tell our customers at least 30 days before any change in their T -Mobile Money account, and when we move everything to T -Life, we will continue to share the updates. Earlier this year, we completed the transfer to our new banking partner. To ensure that there is no obstacle during the switch to T -Life, we are issuing new account numbers and debit cards.

The original article, July 29, 2025 (07:45 AM et): The T -Mobile T -Life app is putting a huge pressure for the app, and imagining it as a super app that does everything for you. The carrier has retired several old apps in T -Life, such as the first T -Mobile and T -Mobile Tuesday apps. Now, another app is sunset in favor of Career T Life. If you are an eager user of the T -Mobile Money app, you have to make your peace through the T Life App.

The T -Mobile website confirms this change, but it also states that moving to the T -Life app is changing some things with T -Mobile money.

    • A new home in T -Life: The T -Mobile mini app is going away. You will access your account through the T -Life app or on T Mobilleni.com.
    • Easy APY Eligibility (starting with 12/1/25): Earlier, 4.00 % APY* APY* will only require $ 200 in the monthly direct reserves – no more qualifying purchases.
    • New Debit Card and Account Number: You will get a new card with a tape to pay and a new account number. Be sure to update any direct deposits or auto payments with your new information and confirm that your mailing address is current so your card will come to the right place.
    • The “Pay Friends” feature is running on the pause: This feature will not be temporarily available when we improve. In the meantime, you can use external payment apps such as Venomo, Cash App, or Zale to send money.
    • Direct deposit setup changes: You will no longer be able to manage directly from T -Mobile money. Instead, you will compile it directly through your employer.
    • Changes in how checks do work: You will no longer be able to mail for a deposit-instead use the T-Life app to collect the check through the image. Personal check writing and order checks will also be terminated. If you need to send a physical check, use the Pay Bills feature in T -Life.
    • Easily found your back qualification: Starting from 12/1/25, all T -Mobile mini users can be eligible. Each 31 days only make $ 200 or more in direct deposits based on payroll, and if you over draft we will find you up to $ 50.

T -Mobile does not say this loudly, but as a Reddit user has stated, the fact is that people are getting new debit cards and account numbers indicate that T -Mobile is possibly changing the basic bank. The web page still notes that the Coastal Community Bank provides banking services.

T -Mobile also notes that once the amount of T -Mobile flows in the T -Life app, users can get 4 % APY on their entire checking account balance by November 30, 2025.
