In those days when I used a dedicated camera for comfortable snapshots, I used to zoom the non -stop between the length of the focal: with the phone, this is not the same experience at all.
As the Xiomi is 16 ultra -material. It is a flag of rumors that, if the stars are alienated, can bring something that many photographers will like: constantly optical zoom.
So, if you photograph something that is far away for your 3X snipper – but very close to you, 5x secondary zoom – you can escape the shot without enough image quality loss at 3,5x or 4,1x.

The leakage shows that Xiaomi reduces quality loss during zoom using a CMOS sensor jointly between two optical zoom ranges. This setup enables smooth transition when zooming without compromising the image.
It would be great if Zumi pulled it. Currently, I rarely shoot anything between 3X and 6x (find two dedicated paraspse camera X7 ultra on my Oppo). It’s not that I don’t trust my 3x camera 4,5x (it’s well in the digital zoom area), but shooting on one of the 3X or 6X is faster. If something needs to be harvested, I can do it later after I capture my shot.
On the contrary, I rarely harvest the pictures I took with my 6X camera. Before pressing the shutter button, I zoom inside my camera app, and I allow the handset to do my post processing magic for 10x and above. Although I rarely shoot at 10x, the truth to speak the truth.
With a permanent optical zoom, the entire decision-making process can make it feel more natural-such as using the real camera. Instead of jumping between the fixed zoom level or relying on digital fraud, the lens will easily make whatever frames he wants.
I will not need to think in stringent measures like 3X or 6x. There will be enough zooms and shoots, knowing that optics are actually moving forward to support this structure. If Zumi pulled it properly, it could be a quiet revolution and I look forward to it.
