CEO Elon Musk announced on Monday that Tesla had signed a strategic agreement with Samsung Electronics to counter next -generation chips. It is said that the deal is worth $ 16.5 billion (about 1.4 1.4 million crores) and will see the AI6 chips of the Foundry Division of the South Korean Tech party at the Texas plant, which will then use the Fully self -driving (FSD), other autonomous system, and other autonomous suits.

The news first began on Monday morning when a regulatory filing was detected by Samsung. At the time, it was known that Tech Dev had signed a contract with a global company of 22.8 trillion KRWs (about Rs 1.42 lakh crore) to manufacture and supply chip sets. However, Tech Dev did not disclose the name of the client.

A few hours later, the billionaire Elon Musk announced that it was his automotive company Tesla, which launched a strategic partnership with Samsung’s damaged manufacturing division.

“It is difficult to increase its strategic importance,” Tesla’s CEO said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

Samsung’s giant New Texas will be dedicated to making the AI6 chip of the next generation of Fab Tesla. It is difficult to increase its strategic importance.

    Samsung currently makes AI4.

The TSMCA II 5, which will now finish the design, initially in Taiwan and then in Arizona.

This partnership will show the “Next Generation” AI6 chips preparation of the Samsung Foundry’s Texas Plant. Currently, AI4 chips for Tech Dev Kasturi -owned company also fall. It is used in hardware 4 (HW4) for FSD and other sensor systems in Tesla’s Fleet Electric Vehicles (EV).

Tesla has also been allowed to help Samsung maximize the chips manufacturing performance and the Musk itself will monitor the progress itself.

“This is an important point, because I will personally walk on the line to accelerate the pace of progress, and Fab is not easily away from my house,” the billionaipat said.

According to the Regulatory Filling, the agreement between Tesla and Samsung was signed on July 26, but its launch date is listed until July 24. It continues until December 31, 2033. Kasturi has further revealed that the AI5 chips, whose design process is “has just ended”, will be prepared initially in Taiwan and then in Arizona.

This development comes at a time when Samsung’s manufacturing division is dealing with huge losses. Referring to Pak Yuk, an analyst of the Woom Securities, Reuters reported that the losses of the Samsung Foundry in the first half of 2025 exceeded 63 3.63 billion (about 0.31 lakh crore rupees). The latest contract signed between Tesla and Tech Kanjumri can help relieve some losses.
