- Public transit routes are small on Google Maps
- It seems that it is affecting something but not all users
- Google has not yet commented on this issue
Millions of us rely on Google’s maps to go from A to B daily, so when something goes wrong with the app, it can cause a serious headache – as it seems from a new problem that affects the search for public transit directions.
As Android Police have noted, a long thread on the Red DIT document many users’ experiences that are looking at the Google Maps app for Android Crash when they look for public transit instructions in any direction.
It is difficult to guess how widespread the problem is at this time: the Android police team has been able to copy the bug on one of its phone, but this is not a problem I am currently looking at on my own Google Pixel 9.

The certainty is that it is disappointing for those who are watching it, and they are unable to use Google maps to plan their way to their destination. So far, Google has not officially said anything about the problem or possible fix.
What can you try

So far there is no word from Google – and I will update this article if there is there – users are really sitting and waiting to fix. It seems as if the problem has targeted numerous Android phones, developed by Google, Samsung and Poko.
From the Reddate Thread, it seems that Google’s maps can help in Poshito Mode. You can do this by tapping your Google Account avatar inside the app (top right), then selecting On the Poshunito From the menu
This apparently solves the problem, though your searches and travels obviously will not be saved in your Google account. It also shows that Google’s maps may have to do something with how to sync with accounts.
It may also be worth you when examining the alternative public transit apps, such as City Maper and Movie, available on Android. There are also Apple maps, but it seems that it does not affect Google maps for Big iOS.
