Ever since Apple introduced us to Macos Tahao 26 for the first time, I have been excited for all changes in Max in 2025, and I am most enthusiastic about the Supercharge New Spotlight Search.

I know, the spotlight search is rarely the most interesting part of McCons, but with Taho it is becoming more and more like Windows 11 Start button – and I can’t be happy with it.

Look, I like to hit the Start button on Windows and start typing whatever I want to do, which I want to open up to the Windows algorithm to find this app or file. This starts button on your computer almost every work makes the de facto point start for each task, and my Mac -running Macos Tahao has a similar feature in the spotlight search.

    You can like

The search for the spotlight has been fine for years now, but the functionality of its bare bones and occasional Fobel has run many Mac users in the arms of a more powerful search tools like Alfred.

Now, Alfred for my money is one of the best Mac Apps you receive, but I bet it will be less attractive to people who upgrade to Macos Tahau because the search for the spotlight is far more useful.

I know because I have been using Micros Tahau since the early developer beta, so I have had a lot of time to play with all the new features. Oh, it is public that anyone can download a Micros Tahu beta and start checking a new spotlight, so I wanted to give you some sharp poets to take the most of it.

So without further ado, let’s sink in! If you are running a Macos Tahao version on Mac, open the spotlight search (by clicking the icon in the upper right corner or just hitting CMD + Space Key Small) And scroll down to see all the cool things you can do with it.

First and most importantly, the most interesting upgrade in search of the spotlight will open as you open it. Once you upgrade the Micros Tahu Spot Light, it becomes very smart, and you can type more naturally with more expectation that your Mac will be found after you.

For example, you can type “Send” and begin to auto -populating results with apps such as Spotlight Search Messages and Mail, so you can immediately target a key to start sending text or email. Spotlight search will be at the level of facts in the entry entry fields such as recipients and the search bar, so you can only start typing your message from inside the spotlight search.

You can also use hotkies to navigate between the four new subcums of the spotlight search: applications (CMD + 1), Files (CMD + 2), Actions (CMD + 3) And clipboard (CMD + 4) You can also use Tab And arrow keys to rapidly nourish the list of search results via keyboard.

Nos, you can often kill Tab From the spotlight search bar, the maximum “in an app or folder” in an app or folder. Supported apps will target the tab to start writing directly to you directly in the app, as well as you can work like starting writing new notes in the notice app or writing a new message in the app from inside the spotlight search bar.

Also you have new options to filter search results either by clicking on the appropriate part of the spotlight search menu or killing ).). Key

You may be more ok how the spotlight search works work by looking for a spotlight search subject of the menu (click on the Apple icon in the above corner and visit it. System Settings> Spot Light) From here you can enable or disable the search results from specific apps, your Mac sub sections or even your iPhone (if it is connected through the iPhone mirror).

    Applications all menu

Once you feel relieved of the basics of the spotlight search, you can start to become a power user by becoming aware of the four new submonsis.

And you will find the first, either by clicking on the icon that appears on the immediate right of your spotlight search bar or (⌘+1) by hitting the key scroll, applications are all menu.

You can use the USE to find specific apps more faster, as your search results will include nothing else – files, folders or clipboard items.

This search will also highlight the level of apps on your iPhone if you have attached it through an iPhone mirror, so it can be a good way to find it quickly, the Amazon website search results and emails are called your Amazon app without scaling with your Amazon order receipts.

You can also click on the Subscence within the Applications section of Spot Light Search (or Hit) Cmd + left or rightJes Filter apps through category such as productivity and finance, entertainment and utility.

    Files all menu

Once you get the execution of using applications sub menu, the files are easier to detect sub -menu (alias the next one over). It works exactly, except that it filters everything except files on your Mac.

This is very basic, but there are some clean features, such as the ability to filter by file type. I wish it was a bit very good so you can really create a custom search inquiry that looks for specific types of file and filters others, but you can only get the filters that appear automatically under your search, such as “installer” or “PDF”.

You can also find the app or folder name inside apps and folders, then hit Tab When it is highlighted in search results. So you can type Adobe Photoshop and then target the tab to find Photoshop files, for example.

    Actions all menu

Now we are really going into the powerful aspects of the spotlight search. The third subcontinent, action, lets you quickly find through the spotlight search bar through the set of the process taken inside the apps.

This is primarily an easy way to filter search results in which you can perform operations from the spotlight search bar. This is the place where you will find “Send Message” in messages or mail shortcuts, for example, as well as “Add reminder” to the calendar app in the disk utility app or “Education Disk”.

Not only can you perform these actions from the search bar, but you can also set up a “Quick Keys” key combo for each action, so that you can start them quickly with the spotlight search bar.

So for example, you can set the “reminder” in the “AR” key scroll, and the next time you target “AR” in the spotlight search, it will immediately complete “add the reminder” to the action automatically.

This is probably the most powerful sub -menu of the new spotlight search bar, and I have already made the key to the key to my most commonly processed operations.

    Clipboard Sub Menu

Last but probably, at least, the new spotlight search clipboard subcutaneous all menu allows you to snatch everything to your Mac clipboard quickly, then copy it back and paste it wherever you want.

This is not the best or powerful feature of the spotlight search, but when you need to dig something yesterday, it can work for a long time after copying.

That’s just good, but I love it because I am a writer in terms of trade so I often have to copy and paste the bits and chapters from different drafts during the work day. Before I upgraded to Micros Tahao, I just had to be alert about making sure I would copy the thing I wanted to paste, but now when I can easily configure my clipboard date, I don’t have to worry about wasting time to copy and persecute all day.

If you have made it yet, you have seen every corner of the upgraded spotlight search and you are on the way to becoming a Macos Tahao Power user. More power to you!
